I went to this site in August and sent this guy $154 for a turboduo
After 3 weeks I called him and he said he would refund my money since he doen't even have any for sale
Now many weeks later his site still advertises duos for sale
whats up with that?
He now refuses to answer my emails or phone calls
Meanwhile 30 days has past so paypal doesn't want to help
anyway, all of you have been warned to avoid this site unless you want to kiss your money goodbye

Did you pay with a credit card, or with a Paypal balance? If you paid with your credit card through Paypal, ask the credit card company to recover the money. They should be able to do that!

Sorry this may sound rude but...why the hell did you trust a website that doesn't even have a domain name? If they can't afford anything better than geoshitties (which is free), then they're not getting ANYTHING from me, it's that simple. Sorry, I just don't understand why a website would even TRY to give off an air of credibility while using a crappy free host with 3 popups. If something seems the least bit shady, forget it!

I have 2 reasons
1 the site is recommended my turbo zone direct which is a good company
2 I am very new to the computer/web scene, so I have a lot to learn
But I am definetely getting an education

That's a tough way to learn, but we've all been there. Next time, ask HERE if you're not sure about a place. There are more 'net buyers around than you might imagine!
Good luck, I hope you recoup your cash.

Has anyone dealt with this guy other than T? I had been contemplating sending a broken TG-16 deck off for repair (since I got it for free, why not?) but this doesn't bode too well if he's not getting his money back.

I was thinking the exact same thing.
I'm glad I read the entire thread before responding this time :D

I ordered a Turbo Duo from them a year and a half ago, and it arrived in fantastic condition. i had no problem at all, in fact they were helpful, letting me pay in parts...I'm sorry to hear they went down the tube, and gave you the shaft...that sucks. :shameful:

I'm going to back up T by saying that I myself have bought something from a Geocities page...but it was a native japanese page (www.geocities.co.jp) and I had absolutely no problems whatsoever with them.
I'm glad to hear that you've got AmEx looking into it, and I hope they get a stern warning and send out your item (if they're just being lazy or forgetful) or plain shut down (if they're an all-out fraud).
Feel free to post a question saying where you should get your import game stuff from, we'd answer it in a jiffy.

Weird. Until now I'd heard nothing but good things about that site. I don't understand it at all. Let us know how things turn out!
great news!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I contacted turbo zone direct to let them know about this other company
The said not to give up because they would get involved to help me out
Just a couple of hours later i had my money refunded :)
I didn't get any explaination other than they were sorry
