I've got a few CD-I games. Litil Divil, Thunder in Paradise, Striker Pro, Caesars world of Gambling and The Palm Springs Open.

I was originally planning on just selling these 5 games on Ebay, but I though, "Hmmm... I wonder how much it costs to get a CD-I unit". I could actually play these games and check the CD-I out.

I never had a CD-I. I had an Atari Jaguar and a Sega 32X and a 3DO system, all systems that were around the time the CD-I came out, but I never got a CD-I. Actually I think the CD-I came out before all of those systems. Did the CD-I come out not too long after the Sega CD came out? I can't remember.

Anyways, I was hoping to ask a couple of questions for somebody that is familar with the Phillips CD-I

1. How much should somebody have to pay for a CD-I unit?

2. Which CD-I unit should somebody try to buy if they could?

3. Do the CD-I players output S-Video? How is the video and audio output of a CD-I handled?

4. What about the Magnavox CD-I's that were sold in Japan, do they play the American games?

5. What controller is a must if you end up getting a CD-I?

6. What 10 games are absolute CD-I must haves?

Sorry for so many questions, I just don't really know too much about the CD-I

1. How much should somebody have to pay for a CD-I unit?
$20 to $50

2. Which CD-I unit should somebody try to buy if they could?
I like the 220 the most

3. Do the CD-I players output S-Video? How is the video and audio output of a CD-I handled?
Yes, and with RCA thingies. I have not noticed any differences with the S-video cable, though.
EDIT: It also has coax in/out.

4. What about the Magnavox CD-I's that were sold in Japan, do they play the American games?
I have no idea what you're talking about, but I do know that Magnavox made many CD-Is for the US.

5. What controller is a must if you end up getting a CD-I?
3-button or 4-button. Just make sure it's not the remote you're using.

6. What 10 games are absolute CD-I must haves?
Hotel Mario
(I hear that) Zelda's Adventure (is good)
That's it. The CD-I has no other good games (In my opinion).

If you end up wanting to trade those games, please PM me.
