YES! I don't have to scrap the 6-slot MVS cab after all!
(as if I own one ;)
This is very good news. I actually had assumed that these games would come out for MVS and not some crappy JAMMA release, bleh. If they're doing it that way, though, it's good to know that classic MVS setups will continue to be supported and thus it will remain a "real" Neo Geo game. Oh the joyousness.

Well, they had already announced that both SS5 and MS5 would be back on regular MVS carts, but it was said somewhere that they would not release SvC on MVS.
The MVS lives on. :rocker:

Now you're playing with...er, wrong slogan.
The ONLY 24 bit home console lives on! :D

this won't make deciding which Neo Geo to get any easier @_@
still probably go with AES though, Superguns look scary. and I heard if they don't have the sound coming From the supergun itself it can actually fry your television? ack

Deeeee-licious. I am pleased.
...What is this talk about frying your television with a supergun? Build one, dangit. To put it simply, they = best.

Supergun...great price meets great quality.
I've only got an AES, but they're a horrible choice for gaming. Lousy sound (not stereo, how about that) and the carts are expensive as heck. Look good on a shelf though.

True, the sound is sorta iffy, but I'd rather let my sound come from my $250 sound system than from the bleh mono TV.
Mmmm, I can have SvC Chaos w/o changing boards. It's like a delicious sponge...

Wait--do you mean the SuperGun's sound or the AES? My AES has a bad cord in any case, but the AES will only do mono sound. Unless you mod it or something.

Well like so many things on the internet, i just heard about it. i guess they they say if you try to put the sound direct to your TV instead of out of the supergun it can fry it, this isn't AES I'm talking about but rather MVS that you hook up to a supergun, but then that means most of them probably don't do that.. I have no experience in building anything electronical, so to build one would probably be... interesting at best... thats not to say i wouldn't want to give it a shot. but being that I've only been aware of their existance for the last few weeks, i wouldn't even know where to begin. definately something to consider though :hmm:

Yeah, the AES is meant for regular TVs so the sound isn't a worry.
I'm getting a supergun with an audio out & headphone jacks... going to use the headphone jack with my awesome computer speaker system to get nice bass tones in the AoF and WH soundtracks.
..what? I like World Heroes and love Art of Fighting.
...shut up.

The sound coming off any JAMMA board is amplified. The inputs on your TV are line input (meaning unamplified.) You can blow out the speakers in your TV, but all you have to do is turn the sound down on the board and you're golden. If you have a multi-slot MVS, just run the sound from the headphone jack rather than the speaker outs, and you don't even have to worry about it.
Building a Gun is easy. Trust me, there's not much to it.
