Hody partners-
Your old friend RCM here. I was looking to pick up a copy of Alien Soldier for the Mega Drive. One problem is that I don't own a MegaDrive! I thought it was funny that the seller on Ebay said to email him if you owned a Genesis to find out the secret of playing MegaDrive games on the Genesis. I couldn't pass it up, I needed to know the big secret! He sent me a link that was very interesting. I am going to post it. If any brave gamer has a second I was wondering if you could confirm the info that this guy provides. Thanks to all!

A few months ago when I ordered a couple of Genesis games from EB I got a boxed MegaDrive Klax. Odd.

Yes, the information is accurate in this FAQ. Also for your future information, this FAQ and others are at this Digital Press website. Go to Archives on the left side bar, then at that location chose FAQ, third from the left on the top bar. There are many good FAQs there.

I will say that my Nomad doesn't play Contra The Hard Corps. Sonabitch. Don't think it plays the other two Japanese games I've got right now, but the nasty large sound that resulted when I took my Contra HC out of the Nomad (no damage but it was scary) means that I haven't tried it again. My other two MDj games are Daimakaimura and Gunstar Heroes, by the way.

A genesis model 3 tends to have a good streak playing MD games, however later encrypted games will still require a game genie or such to unlock the encryption.

I figured it was the fact that Contra HC was a later game that done it. :grr:
