View Full Version : Zero Tolerance Link-up Cable?

I've been asked if I could get hold of one of these cables for the Mega Drive to enable two-player link-up on Zero Tolerance but to be honest, I've never even heard of it. My copy of the game says there's an offer card (long gone from my copy) by which you presumably get a cable from Accolade via mail order.

Are these things easy to get hold? Maybe it's a standard off-the-shelf cable I can buy? Any ideas?

I may be completely wrong, but if I am not mistaken, all you need is a Genesis/MegaDrive controller extension cable. So in other words even a C=64 or Atari 2600/7800 (etc.) cable will work. It is a standard connector type (DB-9 or something?), with 9 pins. Again, if I am not just messing up here, what you do is connect the 2nd player controller port on two Genny/MD units for linked play. At least I *think* that is the setup. I have never actually played Zero Tolerance at all, myself. :P

Funny you should mention this, because I was thinking of starting a similar topic, I've never seen one of these things.
I even mailed away my card to get the cable when I got the gam,e but I got nothing, no cable or letter saying why or anything.

I should check e-bay...
