I've decided to sell my Z64. It was up graded to a 6.4 GB 2.5 hard drive instead of the zip drive. The 2.5 fits were the zip drive went and runs on the same powersupply - Very Clean. The 2.18 Bios loads the games directly from the hard drive so you can put your whole collection on the drive. You never have to swap zip disks and the load times are faster. It also has gameshark built into the bios. I saw someone else selling the Z64 for 250.00 with out a hard drive so the first 250.00 via paypal gets it. I have 100% feedback on ebay. Thanks - nws1001@earthlink.net :)

I'll throw in my N64 with 4 Controllers for $25 dollars more if you don't have a N64.

with all do respect........

you're asking for quite a bit of money for somebody that doesn't have references, or none that we know of. i think your asking price is a little bit high, but that's just my opinion. if you had pictures or something it might help. and are you willing to trade it for anything?

i would be interested in the unit, but not for $250. i have a ton of stuff i can trade though :D (check out the link in my signature if you're interested in trading)

and do consider that nobody knows you here......or atleast it seems that way. so you have to make yourself known before you want somebody to send you $250 for a piece of equipment. and a little bit more on the pricing, if somebody sold one on ebay for $250....you can bet nobody here will buy it. if they wanted one for $250, they would wait until one was on ebay for $250 simply because it's much safer. but make yourself known and you'll be ok.....

and welcome to the board!!! :D

I don't know the guy at all, but $250 isn't a bad price. I paid $300 for mine and it still has the Zip drive I don't know how much faster the unit operates with a hard drive, but using the unit with zip disks is kind of a pain in the ass. First of all, you have to have a zip drive on your PC. Second of all, my old ass zip drive is parallel port and slow. Third, zip disks are expensive, so you end up not having very many and then erasing them and copying over different roms all the time. A hard drive unit or even a CD-Rom unit is definitely the way to go.

The only reason I still have mine is for the sake of collectibility.

Hopefully my reply will answer some of your questions :)

Trade: I'm unfortunately not looking to trade right now. I'm trying raise some cash.

Price: I think the 250 is very reasonable considering the hard drive was added to the machine. The hard drive is not a standard 3.5 hdd but a 2.5 laptop drive. The 3.5 would not be able to run off the Z64 power supply and you would have to use another powere supply. I currently have around 400 games on the 6.4 GB which would require a ton of zip disks. - I also have a Doctor V64 and I will sell that for 150.00 if someone wants it.

Feedback: I just stumbled onto this site - by the way Awesome!!! - so I understand why you would be concerned. I haven't posted the item on ebay because they usually ban these items. I currently have some other Items on Ebay. Here is the link to a 27" VGA monitor I'm selling. It was going to be for a Mame project that never happened. You will see my 100% rating with over 100 unique feedbacks. Here is the link - just ask me a question through ebay and I will reply. I can also send you a picture if you want. Thanks
