That thing is a white man's radio, not a ghetto blaster, but it's interesting, I've never seen that before. Does it play tapes too? ;)

It's a real product. Forgot who made it, but they pop up from time to time.

Yeah, they're pretty rare, these things. Seen them once or twice before, they go for a ton. I think it Mega CDs as well, but I'm not sure..

Certainly it plays CDs, Megadrive games and cassettes. I want one :o But I'm unemployed and broke. OH well. Better hope my interview on Thursday goes well - although it would mean moving to London, so I may well not have much money then either. London is expensive X_x

And if you're into retro kit, not too good in general. I've asked this before on the board, and it seems to be some sort of geographical anomaly.

Good luck, all the same.

Hey man, my wife has one of those! Granted, hers doesn't have game playing capabilities, but she has an Aiwa radio that is that exact shape and size and is white.

Yeah, I was a bit disappointed with the whole retro scene in London. All over-priced and generally full of common run-of-the-mill stuff. I did a mini tour of all the retro stores I could find in central London one day, and only came away with a copy of Virtua Cop 2 for the Saturn for £5, from CEX.

I popped into CEX again last week when I was at my first interview, because it was just round the corner, but I found literally nothing worth getting. Well, I was mildly tempted by Kao The Kangaroo for the Dreamcast, but that's it. They didn't even *have* anything worth looking at in the Megadrive and Saturn sections. In fact I had better luck at Game round the corner, where I picked up Point Blank 2 for the PS1 for £7.00

Ah well. I'm sure there's stuff out there waiting to be found, I'll just have to learn where to look. One day I WILL find that lovely minty copy of Darxide, and all those nice Saturn games that are missing from my collection!

Wow, I had no idea these Aiwa systems would run for so much. Gotta love the high-tech cable running outside the system from the MD to the sound system o-O
