The kind folks over at Cinemaware have made various versions of the game free for download legally. If you love the game like I do, go check it out!

Hey I got this, but the program just quits by itself when I try to hold a tournament. It happens as soon as it goes to the part where it shows you on your horse. It just quits, like my monitor can't display it for some reason.

Any suggestions?

Also, i'm having a couple of problems with other DOS programs. Some say, DOS memory not free, sorry can't run program. Some help with that would be great also.

Nevermind, I figured out both of my problems by myself, d'oh!

Simple stuff!

Btw, it's great to play this classic, classic game. It warms me heart it does.

I agree! My first experience with the game was actually on the Amiga 500. I remember looking at the screenshots on the back of the box at a local computer store ("The Program Store" for those in the Willowbrook Mall, Wayne area that may remember) and thinking "WOW! These graphics are AMAZING!". Well, they still are to me. But even better the game is just great. Now I wonder if we'll see "King Of Chicago" or the "It Came From The Desert" series free for download? I wouldn't doubt it.

So far i've been playing this game all night and been losing miserably. I've forgotten how much I loved this game though "haven't played it since I was like 12", and quite honestly it's the most fun playing a game i've had in quite a while.

Problem is, alot seems to ride on which castle you get "getting one in middle of map sucks", and being able to out joust for land "especially in a tight situation", but I can't figure out for the life of me how to do the jousting part, I lose every time.

You know the secret to jousting?

God I love this game! Thanks for the link!

After all these years I still stink at the jousting :) My best advice is to keep it steady!

I forgot to ask you what system you are playing the game on? I highly recommend the Amiga version...which is the best IMHO. Using the latest WinUAE it just rules.

Is the Amiga version really THAT much better?

OH YEAH.

You will need WinUAE and a v1.3 kickstart rom (Amiga BIOS) however to get it going.
