I have a ton of old VHS tapes I'd like to get rid of, but I have no idea where....anyone got any advice?

I sell videos on eBay all the time. Do a quick search you may have something rare. There have been 4 occasions when I have sold a movie for more than $100. Pawns and second hand shops give you buck or 2. You could have a garage sale and sell them that way.

This is of course assuming these are not copied movies. The thrift shop in my area has tons of tapes like this for 50 cents each. People are not willing to pay much for these even if there are 3 movies on each tape.

Buying copied movies at a yard sale is dangerous... I used to do it just to get the vhs tapes themselves, and I can't tell you how many times I found tapes that contained things that someone out there probably didn't want the public to see.

I'm not saying it's all home porn... some of it has been. Some of it has been regular home movies (why would someoen sell their freakin' home movies?). Some has been 'films' that kids with a video camera made. Some of it has been surveillance type stuff (looking like they were trying to catch a recurrent thief/vandal). One time it was a guy trying to catch a peep show through the neighbor's window... I REALLY wanted to take that tape and pop it into said neighbor's mailbox for their information but couldn't be sure the people living there at that time were the same people that had been filmed.
