this guy drags his feet around and finally gets pushy about shipping charges. so i get them to him, and he sends me payment. in the message box on paypal.....this is what he sends me:

Message:
Please note the following:

* Please include all owners' manual, and necessary wires.
* We do not accept illegal copies.
* Item must be shipped within 4 days after payment has been made.
* We prefer Priority Mail as the method of delivery, but NOT required.
* We need this item by FRIDAY OCTOBER 24, 2003.

am i getting all the weirdo's this week? and why does he think i would include owner's manuals when i never sold him any LOL

That's why I am always very specific when I list my items. Right down to when I ship and what method I will use sometimes even how I pack it.

But youre right, that guy does seem like an ass.

The only "order" I ever include is to say something like

"I'm a collector, so please pack the items well as the condition of the boxes are of primary importance to me."

Before I did that these idiots would actually slap an address label right on a boxed atari and send it with no protection whatsoever.

Don't worry nesuser2, I've gotten two idiots of the same type. Right in my friggin auctions it says "will ship to confirmed paypal address only, if you do not have one, please make arrangements to pay with Bidpay or money order."

What happens? Two people send me unconfirmed payments then ask why I denied them.

Thats crazy. I'd be sure to put them on my block list so I wouldn't have to deal with them again.

well i ended up waiting to ship it, unlike usual. i usually ship things the very next day if humanly possible. it reduces clutter around my house so any boxes i can get out makes me happy. but this one i couldn't resist, he said ship it within 4 days.....so that's exactly what i did, shipped it within 4 days. and i've also been asked to ship it as soon as possible or box it the best way possible to save it from damage. and i don't have a single problem with that, it's a simple request. but if somebody said they wanted atleast 3 layers of bubble wrap around each item and they wanted it boxed up inside another box......somebody is pushing their luck. just a simple request will do the trick. you don't order food on the phone and tell them when to deliver it, you ask them to get it to you as soon as possible.......so in reply to my own post.....i'm done :)

Heh, you think that's bad? I once had a guy who bought a PSX game from me and - AFTER the auction was over, mind you - send me a list of requirements for the disc. There were to be no scratches or even specs of dust or else it would be returned and I'd be left negative feedback. I was to wrap it in like sixteen pounds of bubble wrap and put into a box (exaggerating, but you get the point). The case had to have no cracks, or else I'd have to replace it before sending it out. Get the idea?

Now if he'd tell me all of this before the auction ended there'd be no problem, but don't freakin' lay this on me AFTER THE AUCTION IS OVER.

I would just send that guy a note back saying, "the package was mailed out according to what I stated in the auction. Have a nice day."

Good call, Flack.

Anything otherwise was not part of the contract, which is exactly what an auction is if you have the winning bid.

Yeah, I mean if that was the deal I would just bid on broken stuff and then say, "by the way, you better fix it first before mailing it to me."
