All right, I've been putting this off in the hopes that I could find the right parts, but I just don't think I'm ever going to have the time/space to get this sucker going.
My loss is your gain! Pick it up and make it into a Tempest again, or turn it into a MAME cabinet, or whatever! Here's the lowdown:
Full size Tempest cab.
Side art: Pretty good shape, with usual knicks here and there
Control Panel: Present. Peeling slightly on lower edge. Buttons & spinner are present.
Coin slots: Present. One of the return doors is missing a part of the decoration around it. Tough to explain, but it's a cosmetic issue.
Marquee: Present and damn near perfect
Back panel: Present, with original lock. I have the keys to it, and the coin door lock.
Front glass: Present, usual scuffs from usage. Nothing major.
What it's missing: Monitor and boards.
What's not missing: Wiring harness, isolatioin xfrmer, power/sound board thingy
The best part? IT'S FREE!!!
If you're interested, let me know. Weekdays after 4PM, and weekends are good for pickup. I'm not delivering this thing.

WAAAAAAAAAAH. This is one I've been looking for, too, but I'm obviously not in Michigan.

I really want this unit!
I live about 20 miles south of Detroit and need to secure some transportation to move it.
Can you put it on hold for me?
*edit*
It looks like I can probably rent a truck or van. Do you have measurements of the cab so I can make sure it fits?

Right now, it's out in my storage unit and I don't have exact measurements. It's about 6' high, and about 3-4' wide. You'll want a dolly of some sort to wheel it out and up into a truck. I do happen to have some pictures for you to see:
Picture 1: Front (http://labwww.csv.cmich.edu/luke/videogames/tempest/2.jpg) (it's a bit dirty in this photo, but it's was cleaned up a bit since)
Picture 2: Innards (http://labwww.csv.cmich.edu/luke/videogames/tempest/3.jpg)
Picture 3: Left side (http://labwww.csv.cmich.edu/luke/videogames/tempest/1.jpg)
I got this along with 6 other games from someone's barn. It could still use a good cleaning, but it's overall in good shape. As I'm relooking at the picture with the coin door mechanics, I'm not positive if just the return is missing from the right or not. I can drive out and give it a more thorough examination if you'd like. I remember that the rear door has the operation sheet thingy still attached.
So, it's now on hold for sisko. Woo hoo!
I live in Lansing and will be available to pick it up. check pm

I just figured out it would be almost $150 to rent the van $_$
I am going to try and contact one of my friends over the next few days to see if he can help me out with his minivan. I've also got a couple of furniture dollies and a handtrcuk, so moving it shouldn't be too hard. I'm definitely still interested though.
The pictures are fine too, you don't need to bother with going back to the storage place for a better looksee.
And if the car in the picture is included with the cab, it won't be a problem to take that off your hands either :)

Actually, I forgot that it has some wheels on the back, so it's pretty easy to move around. Shouldn't be a problem for a few of us to move.

Considering that I have to replace the clutch hydraulics, it may be a bigger problem than you think :-D

Haha I've driven a standard car with no clutch at all before so I might be able to manage :D
My friend is going to measure his van tonight, but I realized that one dimenson is missing. How deep is it at its largest point? I'd say roughly 4 feet judging from the picture, but I can't tell for sure.
Thanks!

Your rought estimate is as good as mine, and I think that 4' is a good conservative estimate. I pulled the pictures into Photoshop, and based on the measuring tool & bad math, it's probably more like 3'-3.5' deep, and 2.5-3' wide. The uncropped version of the side pic features my 6'2" friend, and it's a few inches shorter than him (which is how I'm estimating 6')
