I saw a handheld system behind the Electronic Boutique counter tonight in a "blister" pack... it had six cartridges with it, and the system looked kinda like a generic neo geo pocket color. it cost 79$. right beside that was another blister pack with four cartridges in it for (*I think*) $ 29.
What the heck was this thing? ?? it wasnt a gameboy, or a nokia taco... I didnt ask, because i knew i would buy it if it was in my hand... There were lots of them in the plexiglass display case...
i asked SLYDC... and this is killin' us-- what the heck was it????

Yes, it is a NGPC.
Some company apparently bought all of SNK's loose (but still new) stock and is reselling them. It's a wonderful bargain for those that missed out the first time around, but goddamnit, why no Cardfighter's Clash or Metal Slug: 2nd Mission in either pack? People NEED to experience those games. These bundles are all over the place on Ebay, and Ebay is in no short supply of the "loose but new" carts as well. But on the other hand, the games are easier to find, and that's certainly welcome.

BTW, if you go to the website listed on the packaging...they have more games available there...seem to be some decent prices (some pretty high though)...probably loose though.
