Hey, this is my 1st post, but I like the feel here and hope to waste a lot of time here :)

Im trying to remember the title to a SNES game that I used to play all the time. Why? Because I just got a "new" SNES.

You are this little tiny man that can get into and out of these robots/mechs. The game is 2D side scrolling.

There is a multiplayer part to it where you can chalange an opponent (normally my brother). If you get out of the mech you can be crushed. While running outside the mech your character has a laughable gun...

Been looking all over for it. Anyone know what Im talking about?

Sounds like You're talking about Cybernator by Konami. I had a good time with this game when it came out, and it really is an underappreciated title.

Here's the US version, courtesy of www.vgmuseum.com

and some pics from the Euro version:

I sounds a lot like it is Metal Warriors too.

Different sorts of mechs... a couple of bipeds, one with a big arse cannon for a nose, a sphere, and a flying spining "spider?"

You're little guy has a jet pack and a pea shooter?

Its made by Konami as well.

Congratulations! It took me 8 years to figure out the name of this game too!

:)

it's definitely Metal Warriors... which is the sequel to Cybernator, more or less. Cybernator didn't have the multi-player, whereas metal warriors did.

Wasn't Metal Warriors originally by Lucasarts? I remember hearing that it was licensed from an outside company (much like Konami did with Cybernator [originally by NCS] and Zombies Ate My Neighbors [originally by Lucasarts]), and that it was Lucasarts that had created MW. Can anyone verify this?

Yes.

The Konami name is on the actual cartridge, and Lucas Arts is in the start up/copyright screens

"Thanks for proving I'm sane."

I thought that was the case... it's been years since I've played MW, so I wasn't certain.
