I picked one of these up off Ebay since my old Game Gear got lost in a move several years ago (R.I.P).
Anyways, I was just wondering if this blue Game Gear is any more valuable than the regular black Game Gear, and were there any other colors made besides blue and black that were released in the US? I remember hearing awhile back that in Japan Game Gear came in a few different colors...

It was only blue and black in the US (although the black did come in a few cosmetic variations). The black IIRC was packaged with a sports game... (world series perhaps?) so it is a more uncommon than the black.

I want the super-rare solid gold, jewel encrusted game-gear they made.
...But I don't want to spend more than $10 on it :P

Kinda like the black sports edition Dreamcast.

That's probably Japanese, I know there was also a red Japanese Coca-Cola Gamegear as well.

The re-released Game Gear from Majesco was solid black as opposed to the dark grey of the originals. :)

Yea, but the plastic was a bit more brittle than the original versions. The RGB dots on the screen were then white (or light grey? can't remember) Also, the one I had, the screen was scratched inside like the factory did it or something for which I promptly took it back.
