If you can get one of these it has the full original version on it as well. I got the Ps2 demo disc from my local Ebgames. I don't know if they hand these out to everyone though.

Have you actually been able to PLAYthe original? I picked up two of the dics and while I can get the Classic POP game to load, I cannot get the game to start. It says press start to begin, but it doesn;t work. I was assuming that it was left over from the emulated game, but none of the buttons seem to start the game. I figures that it would be remapped or something. Which button did you press t begin the game. I can;t imagine that I recieved two bad discs - especially when the other demo of the new game works just fine.

I didn't have any problems playing the OG Prince of Persia game from the demo disc...

The game was pretty cool...looks like I'll have another game to pick up soon. I especially like all of the running on walls, dodging blades, swinging from flag pole parts. :D

Nice review Scoots! Tell me, though...tell me it won't be the "last" incarnation of the series! Yikes.

Besides that, probably the best review on the game I've seen yet.

Yeah, that was supposed to be "latest" not "last." Thanks for catching that.

I really hope the detail/colors issue clears up. How's the architecture overall? I just have this horrible feeling of running through gray corridors with less detail than the Underworks from Morrowind :/

It looks good. I mean it's well-drawn, just not very imaginative from what I saw. Maybe it was intentional so that you concentrate on the puzzles without being distracted by a lot of non-functioning details, I dunno. The levels I saw in the demo seemed totally generic though. They could have just as easily been the setting for a Castlevania (as if CV would ever be released with such drab environments) or any other medieval/fantasy style game. I was expecting something more along the line's of the palace in Kurast from Act 2 of Diablo 2.

It works fine for me too. I didn't have to do anything special either.
