It's a black-and-white system similar to Game Boy. The screen is a bit bigger, the top half "bends" to a better viewing angle, and the games are actually pretty good for the most part. We have a complete list here:

... and I covered this topic in Tips & Tricks at some point, you can hunt for it here:

If any of you have Digital Cable or Sat. and the channel "Nick Games and Sports", keep watching the show "Legends of the Hidden Temple" a show from the 90's and you will see in a couple of episodes that the awesome SuperVison is one of the prizes that could be won. The SuperVision that I have seen in the USA are all gray like the Gameboy, the one pictured in the first post is the Euro SuperVison which is why the color is different. This very cool, I love the SuperVision. :D :rocker:

Wow... I remember that show. I was really young then (Like 6 or something)... wasn't the last "event" a big mountainy thing called "The Crag"?

A friend of my had a SuperVision, maybe he still has it. I think I played a soccer game on it for a few minutes, wasn't bad. Like DP said, some sort of watered-down Game Boy.

I didn't even know this thing existed until now! I'll do a bit more research on it later.

Yo, what's up? The show you are thinking of is called "GUTS" which aired around the same time "Legends of the Hidden Temple". "LotHT" featured a huge talking Tiki head named "Olmac" that asked questions to the contestants, where as "GUTS" was like an olympics for kids all around the world to take place in. It is awesome to note that there is a Video Game on the Snes based off the Nick TV show "GUTS". :D

Whoa...I actually remembered that! (didn't watch much TV back then same as today, but I do remember LotHT! Wasn't that a Nickelodeon show?) Anyhow, which show was it that had the Supervision as a prize again?

Yo, Ed what's happening? The show that had the SuperVision as a prize was the Nickelodeon show "Legends of the Hidden Temple" the SuperVision could be won at the very end of the show when the contestants enter the temple and retrive an ancient artifact of some sort within 3 Min. :D

I'm pretty sure they gave it away as a prize on a few episodes of The Price is Right, as well. Not the good TPIR, but those crappy primetime episodes with the different host.

Well, thereīs an argentinian Supervision from Electrolab...i think very difficult to find in USA, itīs the same as the Watara, but with the Electrolab trademark.

Sold in Germany as the Game Master, distributed by Hartung (as far as I can remember)

The hartung gamemaster is not the same as the supervision. The games look the same, but does not work in a supervision. However Hartung did make a supervision. The supervision was sold in 1992 by different companies all over the world.

Watara Supervison in USA, Canada, spain and Italy
Quickshot supervision in the UK
Hartung Supervision In the Netherlands (Were I live )and germany
Audio Sonic Supervision All over Europe
Vini Supervision in Denmark
Videojet supervision in France
Maganum Supervision in the USA and in Europe
One with a unknown name in Hong Kong and China

The Electrolab Supervision mentioned is new for me.

Hopes this will help

The system's been emulated recently... although I doubt any of you are going to want to play it.

http://www.zophar.net/wsvision.html

It's bad. Oh MAN is it bad. The Price is Right should have been giving them away as booby prizes, like the Zonks in Let's Make A Deal. The Supervision will put your love for video games in Jeopardy. You'll Scrabble to get rid of it. It's a Concentration of pure evil. This system is so awful that you'll hope the Whammy comes to steal all your money... and the Supervision along with it.

This system is like, multiple game show references bad.

I don't think it's that bad. Given the choice between SuperVision, R-Zone, Game.com and Microvision, I'd take SuperVision any day. I've actually gotten into a few of the games. The titles are usually pretty off-the-wall but the games themselves are standard fare, nothing very original. Better frame rates than any of the systems I listed above, too.

Make mine SuperVision!

Hey, I've even got the adapter that lets you play it on a TV :)

I looked it up. And you are right the argenthian version exist. It looks exact like the Audio Sonic Supervision.

The quality of supervision is not so bad. But if we compare with the Gameboy at that time, the gameboy had lot better games.

A while back, I was buying some stuff off of eBay, and noticed that the guy I was getting most of it from also had some SuperVision games up for like, 50 cents or something with no bids, so I decided to get them as well. What the hell, eh? So I have Earth Defender and Pyramid, although no SuperVision (at least, not yet anyways).

I always thought it was very weird that the manuals came with little plastic envelopes to hold them in (but the envelopes aren't big enough to hold an actual cartridge, just the folded up manual. What's up with that?
