If you don't have any of these now is your chance. No body wants them now but when once the dust settles and PS1 is dead these will be the last titles needed to fill every collectors want list.

There's around sixty, I think. I got one of those sets too from the same guy and it's missing several of what I already own.

I'm kind of wondering how many different BOXES exist...I have that yellow one and a blue/green one... :hmm:

And, of course, you can get some from me cheap in this thread:

see I was wondering about that, the one I bought was the green/Yellow box, but the box that's for sale today is a blue box....I wonder if lightapsn themselves could clarify what exactly is what. I bought the box because they were new/kids don't crap them up, and I got 39 or 40 of them in one blow.

And then I saw a THIRD version the other day...it was a blue/green box with a green sticker instead of an orange one. :hmm:

I asked the lady with the blue box where she got them from and she said that her husband found a bunch in a school supply store that was going out of business. So maybe the yellow boxes are the "starter" kits and the blue ones are the "add-ons?" My blue box has an orange sticker listing what discs were inside the box and the yellow has "demonstation" on it.

There are 3 sets for 1 of three age groups or grades

K-2
2-3
4-5

I think thats right.

Anyway I believe some of the disks overlap but some are only available in one set. This makes some much harder to find than others. I think there are around 80 total. I have over 60 different and still need a few.

Also wanted to point out that I have run across these in PC format but luckily these seem to be harder to find than the PSX versions.

That being said make SURE its PSX when you see one or could end up with a fairly expensive PC disk which will be hard to unload. They look just like the PSX disks except you won't find the PSX logo on it.

Also worth looking for is the rare "prototype" mouse/keyboard adapter.

This was sent out to some locations for use with at least one of the Lightspan games and it enables you to connect a PC keyboard and a PC mouse to your PSX through the 1 joystick port.

I say "prototype" because thats how the official SONY mouse/keyboard adapters are labeled by SCEA. They are also serial numbered. Most I have seen are numbered 50 or less so I doubt many were made but whenever they are offered they always sell very cheap $10.00 or less.

The one box I have came with 39 (the same one in udisi's link) so I would assume it would be between 30-40 per box. I think some discs may overlap because I have two boxes and ended up with some duplicates. I really have no solid facts or anything, all of this is just a guess.

I think the rarest PSX item will be the Lightspan classroom pushcart. LOL

Well there may be 4 boxes.

I have one which was sent as a promotional set sent to schools. To let them take a look at the program and see if its right for them.

But they do have 3 seperate programs based on the age of the child. The disks and teachers manuals are all based on this. I am quite certain that some disks overlap and these are more common than others.
