Does anyone know of a glitch in this game that causes the Uhlek to, well, not die when you blow up their brain-world? Because I've taken it out and then got wasted by Uhlek ships, which are supposed to vanish when you blow the planet.

Does it only affect certain carts, for game save files, or what?

Hey.. is this a spoiler? I've been playing off and on for awhile, and haven't gotten to this point yet :) W00! I'll be blowing up planets later.

*strains to remember*

This seems vaguely familiar. I think you may need to return to Starport or save/reload before the Uhlek finally disappear.

No such glitch exists in the PC version. Amazing game that... my all-time favorite. Somehow, the first time I played through it I never found out about the Mind Ganglion planet and had to keep running away from the Uhlek to win. :)

If you're a fan of the first game, I highly recommend playing Starflight II: Trade Routes of the Cloud Nebula for PC. I don't want to give the plot away, but you get to learn more about what the Uhlek really are.

I've been wanting to pick up SF2, but my older computer doesn't have the big floppy drive. Unless they made it on the smaller disks. In the end though, I just beat the game while leaving the Uhlek about-had to keep saving whenever I got far enough along without incident, because those bastards will kick your ass.

Is that one HUGE starflight information document yours, Will? Makes me want to try the C64 version of SF1 though-The Enterprise LOL

Oh yes, StarFlight III looks like it will be quite good, *IF* it ever gets finished. The Project has been going on for what, five years now?

Yes, that huge Starflight documentation is all mine. I spent the better part of one summer putting it together. I meticulously went through the game, making sure everything was as complete and accurate as possible, then I MISSPELLED MY OWN NAME before finally contributing it to the Starflight and Starflight 2 Fan Page (http://www.geocities.com/TimesSquare/Maze/4979/starflight.html). LOL Oh well... at least the curator of the SFIII project tells me they got a lot of help out of it.

Someday I've got to finish turning that sucker into a web site.

Starflight II was released in EA's Top Ten Pack II (which I picked up as a semi-freebie years ago and have yet to really investigate [sigh]).
