I have been searching without success, for the link to a fairly recent ebay auction that was for a Dreamcast system that came with the store demo kiosk. I could swear(and believe me I did) that it was discussed here, and a photo and serial number of said unit was provided. I can't find it!! Please help me!

By the way, when I do a search, I cannot get past the 1st page of findings. Thanks in advance for your help.

I don't know about any kiosk setup, but I do know about a Kiosk Dreamcast that sold here. Here, have a cookie:

Is that the exact unit you were looking for? I own that one.

Oh and here's a question to let everybody know I'm new to the DreamCast...do they normally have that expansion port?

I own a demo Dreamcast, but it's broken and packed away in storage. It won't power on; the light comes on for a second, and then it goes out.

I used to work for a game chain, but the kiosk set-up itself was long gone when I started there. It's funny, because when the district manager would come in, I would ask her if she was ever planning to get rid of it. She told me she'd be willing to sell it to me, but she could never come up with a price nor could I take it home to find out if it worked. When the store room got cleaned, the manager who is a friend of mine wanted to get it fixed for his kids, but I thought it would just be easier for him to buy a used DC. So, he gave it to me. It still had the Toy Commander game inside, but that was horribly scratched. I want to get that DC fixed, but I don't trust anyone enough to send it out. I just like having it because it's a piece of DC history.

I was also lucky enough to get an N64 marquis with a GameCube slide and a Playstation marquis. Both of those light up. Just thinking about those makes me want to work retail over the upcoming holiday...

BTW, the demo Dreamcast doesn't have a UPC code on the bottom like a system that was sold. It says "demo kiosk" on the bottom instead, so if someone's trying to sell you one with a bar code, it's not a demo version...
