If i remember correctly the proposed SNES disc add on was released in Japan for the Super Famicom, and this is it. Correct me if im wrong though...

I thought the cd add-on was supposed to be produced by Sony (which then evolved into the Playstation)? Did another company go ahead with it after the deal fell through? (It DOES look a bit PSX-like.) And look at the cover...that looks like a backup device sitting on top of the Super Famicom.
Either way it's nifty.

Made in Hong Kong.. shady packaging.. I bet this is a pirate device that lets you run roms from CD-R discs. Hey, the auction even stated it was made by Bung Enterprises.
