Stopped into the Salvation army on the way back from work today. Almost didn't see them, but they had 3 genesis games tucked in behind the VHS tapes. All were 99 cents CDN.
I passed on NHLPA '93, but I did pick up:
Roger Clemens MVP Baseball; and
The Death and Return of Superman.
Both boxed. :) I'm really pleased with the superman one!

Got a bunch of SNES boxes (complete with manuals and inner boxes) for free at my local Funco...highlights include Super Mario RPG, Super mario Kart, Super Bomberman 2 and Super Bomberman in the large Party Pack/Multi-Tap Box (Bought the Hudson Soft multi-tap for $5 right after I got the boxes).
Complete Genesis Mutant League Football for .99
Shrinked SWARM! for the VIC-20 for .99 (for trade, anyone?)
16 boxed complete INTV games in 2 taped together bricks of 8 each, marked $4 each (half price day today, so $4 for all, .25 each!) Highlights include: Truckin', Safecracker, Nova Blast, Tropical Trouble, The Dreadnaught Factor, Beauty & The Beast and Utopia among others. Other than a few tape marks, they're all in great shape.
And the topper, an Atari Video Pinball console, loose, for $2.50 (Marked $5, at the same thrift as the INTV games, same half-price day).
I may not bother to go rummaging tomorrw!

Finally, the kid has something to report. I haven't been on a hunt in a while, I've mostly been getting stuff over ebay. Today I found:
ROB ($5)
I have one of these already which I thought was complete, but this one came with a different piece; it's a little box that looks like a spinner for the gyro. Weird.
Big box 0' Intellivision stuff ($25)
A bunch of boxed Intellivision games, I'm delaying the pleasure of going through them until later. Probably 40 games, a system (INTV2), and a boxed voice synthesis thingamabob.
I saw a lot of Atari stuff today too, but it was all common. I saw 4 or 5 systems though, that's pretty unusual.

On my last trip out today, I picked up my first 3D0 game, Stellar 7: Draxon's Revenge, for 2 bucks.
Good price on the e-card reader. They seem to be retailing for about 10 CDN more than that here (around the 65 to 70 CDN mark)

Wow...I actually found something this weekend. Hit a yard sale and foound a whole bag of Commodore VIC 20 carts, including two boxed complete ones, a Datacasette player for the Vic 20, and several joysticks (one in the box!). Also got an unidentified datacasette.
The casettes I got:
Jupiter Lander
Gorf
Radar Ratrace
Sargon II Chess
Clowns
Vic Avenger (boxed complete)
Pinball Spectacular (boxed complete)
And I got one other cart that I can't find ANY info anywhere about. It's a double-ender two video game cartridge for the Vic 20 with Tomarc the Barbarian on one side and Motocross Racer on the other side. It's made by Xonox, the same guys who made the double ender Atari 2600 carts, but I can't find anything about the Vic 20 cart. Anyone know anything about this one, like what it's worth, etc? Is it rare? I've got pics of all the stuff, and it's all for trade/sale if anyone wants to make me an offer! Let me know at maxlords@hotmail.com

Last weekend my only real find was an Atari 2600 in box, 4 switcher, good condition for $6.50
This weekend has turned out better so far:
1. A bunch of loose NES games for $2-$3 each - highlight Final Fantasy. Many of the carts are unlicensed ones in weird casing. :)
2. Tetris (Nintendo Version) NES and Nigel Mansell's racing game NES boxed - $3 each
3. An Atari branded calculator new in box for $7 at the Goodwill

No good finds after being out all day but i taked to a guy that said he had a load of old vid game and all i had to do was go pick them up he happy
At the flea market today I found:
Defender II
Mappyland
Q-Bert
Destiny of an Emperor
and Space Shuttle Project
All for the NES and all $3 each. Not that great of a deal and none of them are really rare, but if every find was awesome, the thrill of finding good deals would wear off quick. Also, I talked a guy into selling me a lot of about 10 or so NES dust sleeves for $1. Oh yeah, and then there was the guy who was selling 2600 commons for $4 each. I told him I'd buy several if he would sell them for $1 each (still not that great of a deal) and he said no. What an idiot! $4 for E.T.!!!!

I know what you mean. There was a lady in my neighborhood this weekend selling some old NES games for $60 for the lot (about 10 games). I was interested in a couple, but she wouldn't sell them--she only wanted to sell the lot as a whole. There was nothing in there really worth it, Duck Tales was probably the rarest game in there. But she pointed to that very same Duck Tales and told me "this game alone is worth the lot--I bought it for $59."
$59!?? Yeah. 15 years ago!!! GRRRRR. :x Needless to say, those games are still there.

Needless to say, those games are still there.
You know what I do when that happens? I had business cards made on my computer, essentially saying "Old School Gamer" repairs, purchasing etc. Then I tell them, that if they don't sell it at their garage sale or whatever, to give me a call, and we'll talk price.
Has it worked? Not yet. I've only been at it a month. I think some of these people who want big $$$ for crap, have got their ego's tied into it too.
Got a huge box of busted parts and RF switches, and a busted PSX today..all free..Treasure to me and my soldering iron!

I think thats an awesome deal. I would have paid close to that for Gauntlet 2, Metal Gear and Mega Man. Plus now you have trade bait :)
Made a trip to the Stitsville flea market, the largest indoor/outdoor flea market in Canda (or so they say) I stupidly passed by the 2 rarer Ultima games, and when I changed my mind, they were gone. They wanted $7 each and wouldnt budge. Oh well.
But I did pick up:
Paperboy, Pipe Dream, Adventure Island 2, and Star Voyager for $15 CDN. Thats about $10 US.

After I paid the woman, she asked if she could have a ride to a certain part of town which is notorious for drugs and other "illicit" activities. I told her I was going the other way and then I got outta there quick
