Some of my favorite arcade games of all time are vector based.

What is your favorite Vector Graphics Arcade Game and why?

I'll start, Asteroids. Asteroids is by far the game I was best at and I lost months of my life playing it in the arcades. There's just something compelling about stalking and hunting the saucers. Even now it still gets my blood pumping.

I dig them ALL :) , but my favorite is most certainly Major Havoc. *Everything* - artwork, animation, design, gameplay, sound/music - in the game is perfectly executed. It's one of the best games around, vector or otherwise.

Tough call.. Too many to choose from

Star Wars is truly classic, especially when it's a cockpit.. This was also the first vector game I bought and one of two I currently own (Asteroids is the other).

Tempest is a blast to watch when it's played by someone really good (not me, unfortunately).

I've got a lot of good memories of playing Asteroids for hours on end..

Warrior is a lot of fun and is the earliest head to head fighting game..

Tac Scan, Star Trek, Major Havoc, Lunar Lander, Gravitar are all a blast to play as well!

I guess I just like them all!!

I also like them all... but I'll mention two..

Star Wars is probably the one that I remember the most. The voices were great and it was awesome, especially in that sit-down cabinet. Seeing that death star explode was definitely a jaw-dropping experience. That game is pretty much perfect.

Tac/Scan is another favorite of mine, mainly because I think it's unique. I love controlling a whole fleet of ships and having to protect them all. I also like how the game changes perspectives. It's not as mainstream as Star Wars, but I still like it.

I'm really fond of Star Wars. In 1983, that game was so realistic and it really made you feel like you were Luke Skywalker in the cockpit of the X-Wing. Those sounds were just impressive. X_x
