What are distinct years for each game engine?
I know in the 16-bit days they were all similar, but 95 is different from 98. What are the clear cut years for each game engine? I would like to have the most up-to-date/recent of each one, for example, I have the idea that NHL 96 and NHL 97 are the same as NHL 98 but with less features and older rosters (can't verify, other than screenshots). Essentially the same exact game, though. So...
How are they divided up?
If 96 and 97 are the same as 98, then I won't purchase either. But if one or both is different, I'll probably pick up the most recent one.
I may want to get NHL 2003 for PS1, but hopefully that isn't bad like the GC/PS2/XBOX versions are, I guess.
Hopefully this made some sense LOL
