Has anyone played Evil Twin on the Dreamcast? I picked up the Euro versions of Rez and Shenmue 2, but missed out on Evil Twin until they made the newer copies incompatible with the boot disc...

Cheers,
Ben

Just picked this Evil Twin up cheap off eBay (sorry BriskBC!): http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3055326072

What a score! Only £15.00! I think that's cheap considering how infrequently you see them around. Now...hopefully this is the old version that still works with the boot disc...... :D

Seriously? Figures :( That game is hard to get over here though. I rarely see it on US eBay at all, and I almost never check German eBay for anything...never thought about it! Doh! I thought 15 pounds was a steal myself....figured to a US buyer (if I didn't like it) It'd easily be worth that to resell. Also...the reprint or the original for less? I THINK this one is the original which works with the boot disc....

german ebay has a many auctions as uk ebay has, the only problem is that the auctions are in german, but most sellers speak english and will reply to your mails ;) i've no idea if reprint or original, is there any way to tell if a sealed one is the reprint??

I posted this same question about a year ago. I thought I did it in these forums but it was at Atariage. Here is a link.

I started to look through the European eBay sites for other DC items that never made it out over here. I remeber Kevincure posting an auction for a game (not Evil Twin) about a year ago and it went for over 100 euros and he claimed it is the rarest DC made. He seems quite knowledgeable aobut DC and PS games so I personally won't be disputing this statement.

I might have to pop on over to these auctions more often.

Taxi 2 is the rarest dc game i'd say (only released in france) BUT it's not worth 100 EURO at all, it usually goes for about 40 on german ebay pops up about once per month

Received Evil Twin today! Woo Hoo! I've only played it a bit, but it's got a nice atmosphere to the designs! Also...it DOES work with my Utopia bootdisc! So awesome! I've yet to have found a game that doesn't, including Border Down!

Anyway, the framerate is a bit choppy, the game has some voiceover volume level problems, and the control is a bit loose, but it's pretty cool so far. It reminds me of Shadowman for the DC/PC/N64 a bit, that same dark creepy atmosphere. Very cool! If you can snag it for a reasonable price, definitely worth a look-see!
