Ok, everybody, I did a topic recently about 8 games that I felt absolutely should be a part of everybodies top 10 must have Super Nintendo game list. There was alot of disucssion, and alot of differing views, so I think everybody should just list their 10 best SNES games, in order of best to worst. Of course none of them are bad, but you know what I mean.

Yes, we already have a Top 50 Super Nintendo Games topic, I know that. But this is different. These are your own personal top ten lists. Ranked in the order of most necessary to least necessary.

I will start things off with my Top 10 List



1. Super Mario World - This game is so freaking underated. A total Miyamoto masterpiece.

2. Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past - Just a beautiful piece of art!

3. Super Mario Kart - Quite possibly the game with the largest amount of pure fun!

4. Super Metroid - Another stunning achievement

5. Super Ghouls and Ghosts - absolutely outstanding game. Very hard, but very, very good.

6. Castlevania IV - I know alot of people don't agree with me. Hell with 'em!

7. Super Mario All-Stars - an incredible collection of some of the best games of all time, actually with improved graphics and sounds, but the same classic magic!

8. Contra III: The Alien Wars - Absolute Konami classic

9. Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island - Another Nintendo classic.

10. NBA Live '95 - I think this is the SNES best sports game.

I'm sure the appearance of SCV4 and CV Dracula X will surprise quite a few, but dammit, I loved 'em both.

1) Super Castlevania IV: The gameplay is so good, that you don't even care about the horrendous slowdown. Talk about unique level design, I don't know which stage is cooler, the one that has the walls spinning around you, or the one where you dangle from your whip, while the screen rotates around. Whatever, a true masterpiece, and everyone was so happy to fight Dracula on a new machine.

2)Super Mario All Stars
3)Simcity
4)The Combatribes: This beat-em-up is near arcade perfect. The best one on the SNES. It has 2 player simultaneous, gorgeous bright color pallette, and plenty of fighting moves with bloody consequences. I love taking two baddies and smashing their faces together, or grabbing a fallen baddie's hair and smashing his face into the cement. Awesome.

5)Super Punch-Out!!: This must be the most colorful game on the SNES. Here's a game that compares to a NEO GEO game in terms of graphics quality. Nice big sprites, with gorgeous colors, and plenty of animations to take notice of. Oh, did I mention rock solid gameplay and control? Never forget this one.

6)Rampart: Ferocious 2 player action. How cool is it to drop propaganda leaflets on the enemy?

7)Magic Sword: Most of Capcom's games of this era were Gold, sadly this is missing a 2 player mode that the Arcade game had, but its such a good translation you'll accept it and play on.

Each game that is ranked No. 1 will recieve 20 points. Each game ranked No. 2 will recieve 15 points. Games ranked No. 3 will get 10 points. No. 4 = 8 points. No 5 = 7 points. No. 6 = 5 points. No. 7 = 4 points No.8 = 3 points. No 9 = 2 points No. 10 = 1 point.


And I will add everything up and keep track of the overall Top 10 Rankings. Ya Heard!

Anthony1: Roboticparania's list only has two FF games. He listed FFII and FFIII. He was just listing them by both their US and Japanese numbering. They differ because, untill VII, not all FF games came out over here. Ignore the roman numerals after the slashes.

You aren't supposed to only rank the games in which you have. You can choose from any and all Super Nintendo games. This isn't the Top Ten Super Nintendo games that I happen to own list, it's the Top Ten Super Nintendo games period list. So any games that you have played in the past will qualify. You don't have to actually own the game. Even if you just rented it back in the day, you can rank that game. Now, if you have only played 10 Super Nintendo games period, then you really aren't qualified to submit a list, because you don't have a wide enough base to draw from.

The games actually must be in a particular order. Pretend that you have a really good friend, who has never played the Super Nintendo ever before, and he decides that he wants to see the best of what the Super Nes has to offer. This guy also likes any and all genre's of games. Your number 1 game should be the game that if he didn't play any SNES game but just 1, then this is the one. And so on and so forth, from 1 to 10.

I never owned an SNES back in the day- I've only had it awhile. And I dont even own 10 games; you'll see I included one I plan to get.
