hey all,
I've had a game I played at my neighbor's house as a kid thats been bugging me. Its been like 12 years since I've played it but I know he still has it boxed up somewhere but it was a 100+ in 1 game. OK take this story at face value (but I have no reason to doubt it) but aparently his girlfriend's friends dad was an exec at Nintendo and he got the cart through him (and I think he paid 120 for it at the time). I cant remember but I'm pretty sure it had dip switches on the cart to switch between rom banks. A number of the games seemed to be identical other than the intro screen. I remember it had a few arkinods, all the mega mans (rock man if I remember correctly), it had 5 mario games (the last one was really curious and I'd love to know if anyone knows any more about it what ever it was but it was a top view gane and mario looked much more like a cave-man). It had jaws, and 2 goonies, tetris 1 and 2, some bubble bobbles.
Anyways, I really dont know much about these sort of carts which are obviously bootlegs. But I was wondering if this was any sort of thing that would be worth buying off of him and what it may be worth.

thanks
Tj

depends.
i was on some sort of vacation in kosovo in 2001 and there was one supermarket in mitrovica and they even had a video game corner.
and now guess what, the ONLY games they had were these
famicom xxx-in-1 game, and they sold them for 5 german mark per piece.
($2,50)
i buyed about 10 different ones.
the bottom line is:
they are kinda rare in the us,but in many -lets say poor- countrys
they are more or less the only video games widely available.
i'd say they arent rare, you just have to know someone who can get them cheap for you.

A 100+ multi-cart with all Mega Mans, many Mario games, games like Jaws and more? Can't say that I've ever seen one of those (most 100+ carts have first gen. games on it).

All the Megamans is something I've personally never heard of being on a multicart, but the bank switches could imply multiple roms for more data. I've never seen a pirate like that.

I'd say go for it, but don't go above $50 or so. It is a pirate after all. :)

There actually is a Rockman 1-6 bootleg Famicom cart, but a cart that has all of the Mega Man AND Mario games, plus more? I have my doubts.

I know the overhead caveman game you're talking about, I forget the title. It's some shitty generic first gen Famicom game.

Thanks guys for the feedback, I've been doing alot of research into multicarts and have yet to find anything close to this cart. I guess I am just going to have to wait until around thanksgiving before my old neighbor will be in town to ask him.

hey thanks for tip on that mario knockoff game, that was really eating me up on what that really was.
