I saw Sonic Adventure 2 and Gigawing. Wanted to purchase both (at Toys R Us), but they were on clearance for $40. What's a good price to pay for these? I see Sonic Adventure 2 USED at Gamestop for $26...

For Giga Wing? That's way too much. I got mine for $20 new two years ago, and I don't believe that the price has gone up that much since then. If anything, it's probably dropped some.

And the higher ups at toys r us wonder why they still have Dreamcast and N64 games.

$20 for Chu Chu Rocket
$20 for Space Channel 5
$40 for Typing of the Dead.

I went to EB and bought the first two titles brand new for less than $10 total...AFTER tax.

Sonic 2 still demands quite a bit of money, but I've seen it around for $30 new. Gigawing should be getting pretty cheap too.

My Toys 'R Us has Typing of the Dead new for $20, even though that isnt to bad, on ebay it goes for about 15, and thats including shipping.

you can get brand new copies of giga-wing off ebay for $10.

sonic adventure 2 still commands $20-25 used, haven't seen a sealed one in awhile....

Most definitely. I have been looking all around for that game, since my favorite genre is fighting games, and the only thing i have seen at GS is it for $30. And that is just for the game, no case!

DAMMIT! And I want that game a lot too! Well, to be fair, I want Double Impact first, then 3rd Strike. Too much stuff, so little finances... :frustrated:

And not even Giga Wing 2 is worth $40, much less its inferior (IMHO) sequel.

SF3 Third Strike? Really?

Wow, I'm glad I bought mine back when I did. I don't remember exactly what I payed for it, but I think it was around $20. Used, but complete, from Funco Land.

I do still want to pick up Double Impact, though. Anything Street Fighter = good. :D

I think that actually would be Sonic Adventure LE.

Of course you wouldn't think it by these.

On ebay, 3rd Strike is definitely selling for more than the last few LEs have gone (even the couple complete ones that have sold in the last few months). I have no idea why, but I suggest waiting a bit on 3rd Strike - it was selling for half what it is now just a few months ago. It's not all that rare, nor that desired, so just wait a bit and get it then.

3 games that I actually paid $50 for

1. Tokyo Xtreme Racers 2 (TRU)
2. Gundam Side Story 0079 (eBay)
3. Sowrd of the Berserk (online retailer)

All new and sealed, Gundam was indeed my last chance getting this game new back in 2002 (JC Penny in Kansas, for some reasons, had 100 copies in stock and a few guys bought them and put on eBay), Tokyo Xtreme 2, later on my local TRU had another one for less, Sword of the Berserk, the seller was willing to take time to look over the condition so I was glad to pay for it.

For serious collector, you either get them while you can, or take a chance hoping you can get it for less later on or miss out completely. I chose the first, just to be safe.

Gigawing can be seen on eBay for $10 so don't bother with TRU stock, but Sonic 2, depending on the condition, it's getting harder to find though.

I actually have both the domestic and import versions of SF3:3rd strike.
I got the domestic version for $9.99 off Capcom's web site when they had a clearance a while back along with RE:Code Veronica and Dino Crisis for the same price. Not bad.
I had no Idea that 3rd Strike is sought after.

I have games EVERYWHERE.
Someone asked why I don't have a trade list. I can't even begin to keep up with all of it. I buy, sell, and trade so much I have no clue what I'm going to have the next week.
Thats why I browse the Buy & Sell Forum. If you want it I usuallt have it. :D

Giga Wang? Yikes!

For the record, I paid "full price" for GW upon release and even as big a shmup fan as I am, I'd say it's a solid pass at anything more than a Jefferson. Not a terrible game, they just didn't quite get the dynamics of the shield nailed down until Mars Matrix.

Actually, 3rd Strike has recently seen an upsurge in popularity at the arcades, and as such, anyone wanting to play it at home is going out to get a used copy of the game on the only console it came out on, the DC.

Although the fanbase of fighting game fans isn't big or anything, its enough to make the price go up a bit.

Yup, I paid that much about a month ago, the game is in perfect condition, no crack on case, no tear/rip on shrinkwrap, even the shrinkwrap is almost scratch free, I keep at least one copy in new/sealed, certain games will have duplicates to play, many from those with cracks on cases.

Your question, NO, the game is not rare if you're looking for used one, but kind of hard to find if you're looking for new/factory sealed without crack on case. I knew I could've waited and gotten it for less, but can't take a chance with my collection, the same goes for Tony Hawks 2, Resident Evil 2/3, easy to find used, hard to find new (nearly all were sold during release) and very few new/sealed copies left, even harder to find if you're looking for ones without cosmetic flaws.

There're many games which I paid about $20 2-3 years ago and I end up getting another one because many eBay sellers are selling them for pennies on the dollars, one seller I highly recommend is Service Concepts, this is part of Sega, so far all the games I got are near perfect condition and the deals are unbelievable

http://cgi6.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewSellersOtherItems&userid=service_concepts&include=0&since=-1&sort=3&rows=50

Many packages I got from him are simply duplicates for me and I couldn't resist the offers they have.
