Last time I checked there were only 50 states in the Union, and only 48 of them are contiguous. LOL

Not only that, but his shipping rates are outlandish considering that he is only shipping a hucard or jewel case. I emailed him on that and he basically said if you don't like it, then don't bid. Oh and by the way, shipping is first class and and if you win additional auctions, each additional item is only $3.50. It's sellers like this that piss me off.

PS Looks he's not getting a lot of bids on his items

Well, the guy is in Japan. It's not a big deal that he doesn't know everything about the US. And shipping from Japan to the US is gonna be more than the norm.

Yeah I noticed that some of his auctions say Japan, while others say California. But he definitely is from California, especially since he is trying to charge California sales tax.

Oh, then that is indeed stupid.

Sorry for the mistake. It does say Japan on the auction in question, though.

It actually says:
Japan Tokyo Import ASAP
UNITED STATES.

I think the Japan Tokyo Import is like his business name.

Strangely enough, the 52 state thing is a pretty common misconception. A lot of people also think there are 360 days in a year instead of 365.

$7 shipping is still asinine though.

They just want to live longer than the rest of us. When I'm 70 they'll be 71 and can brag that they are older. LOL

A lot of sellers conduct the money side of their business inside the states, and then ship the product directly from Japan.

I bought a few things like that....sent my payment to Florida, package came from Chile.

If it is coming from Japan shipping is only a little high. I just spent $7 to get a GBA game here. EMS sucks :/

Oh...and don't pay his sales tax unless you verify his tax-ID number. A lot of people try to scam people out of a few extra bucks that way.

WOW!

Just this weekend I had two friends DEMANDING that there are 52 states! I told them otherwise, but they were like, "Hate to break it to you but there's been 52 for a long time now."

I'm so tired of having dumb friends...

He started saying that Panama and Puerto Rico and stuff are states...

Ugh..whatever.

states are only 50, but many people count D.C. and Puerto Rico ;)

Regardless of the number, only 48 of them are contiguous. LOL

If D.C., Puerto Rico, Guam, U.S. Virgin Islands, American Samoa, Diego Garcia, Greenland, etc. are all States, I guess we should include Iraq too.
