Okay, so this weekend I set out for some cheap game hunting. When I hit Gamestop, they had LOTS of Dreamcast stuff for $1-5. I got Seaman w/ mic for $4.99, a keyboard for,$1.99 a 4x unofficial vmu for $.99 (gotta go back and get more of those), NBA 2k complete for $.49, and a sealed copy of Browser v.2 for $.01. There was plenty more... Crazy Taxi, many sports titles etc, all for $1-3. If you're into Dreamcast, I suggest you run out to see what you can score. The prices are probably at their lowest point right now. Standard VMUs were $2.99 which is the best deal I have found on them lately, but alas they were still too expensive for my cheap tastes. :)

Oh - after trading a pile of NES crap I found in my room, I got a mint, complete Skies of Arcadia for $4. :D Been lookin' for that for a while!

Ooh! DC deals! :D

The other week I found a copy of Kiss: Psycho Circus (for DC) for $8. I wouldn't have paid $8 for that game, but it had a 50% off sticker on it. So I asked the guy if that meant 50% off of the $8 tag, and he said yes. So I figured $4 would be okay for that game (I'm a big Kiss fan). Unfortunately, when I checked out a different clerk took care of me, and he forgot to take the 50% off. I didn't notice until after I got home and took a look at the receipt. Oh well, it's another addition to the collection.

Good lord! for that $4 you could have purchased 400 Browsers. I think you should go back. ;)

This post does have a point - Does anybody have an idea of when TRU is planning on putting realistic prices on their DC games? They have many PSO's and I would like one, but not for $40. x_x (They still have GENESIS games at TRU)

And I have yet to make it to a Gamecrazy in town. Do they have great DC deals?

Actually I like TRU a lot for this, sure, their prices are higher, but they hang on to games of older systems much longer, my local TRU still has Power Puff Girls for N64. It still has many DC games I want for $10 to $20 range, this allows me to take my time to pick up the games (it seems like I'm the only person buying DC games here) and I can check and make sure there're no cosmetic flaws on the games (ideal for my collection). Compared to eBay, I get many games with bad conditions at lower prices, so this is a trade off.

I know I just did a shitton of price drops on the DC games at my store just 4 days ago.

Unfortunately, all the DC games at my local GS are CD only.

I was there yesterday and they didn't have anything for that low :(

I'll try stopping at a different location today.

Ya know, my brother has a dreamcast, and I really want one, the only thing that is stopping me is the fear of buying one from gamestop, and then having it crap out on me after 4 months.

whats the going price rate for Systems nowadays?

$20.00 for a complete system in box isn't too bad of a deal. At the local Walmart they are selling DC games for $2.00 each.

Those unofficial VMU's aren't worth 0.99

I could use more DC games. Currently, I'm looking for Street Fighter 3: Double Impact.

Stopped by the local Gamestop, and I picked up a DC controller extension cord for $1.00 and an N64 controller extension cord for $0.01. The latter had been "pennied out", apparently. The price tags still read $4.99 and $3.99, respectively, though, so it was a pleasant surprise when they rang me up at the counter.
