Today I came across the below power glove and case. The man I bought it from claimed that it was a salesman display case, but he said he got it from an Estate sale years ago.

It looks like the kind of thing Nintendo would send to stores. It has a handle and 2 layers in it. The top layer perfectly fits the glove and wires. The bottom fits the sensors.

Anybody know anything about this item? How many were made/ were they sold/ promotional/ etc?

from what i know, thats actually a product that was sold in stores just like the game carrying cases and system carrying cases. I have only seen one other of the Power Glove cases, and i bought it. It is a very rare accessory indeed. Good find!

Yes I have the same thing.. Now hear what I was told:

I bought this thing from a University professor. He told me that nintendo had a deal with the US learning association, that teachers who gave courses, which involved virtual reality, they could get a powerglove in a carrycase like this. This dude has also send along his course material when I bought it from him..:-) The picture ur showing is only the second one I see during my collecting days..

Thanks for the help guys. If anyone else knows anything about it, I would still love to know. I would love to keep this, but I'm a poor law school student and need all the cash I can get. It's listed on eBay (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1384828765&rd=1)right now (I know that's somewhat of a no-no here... sorry!). Again, thanks for the help!
