Need to play games at work (hehe!) but just can't install anything on that work PC? This is definitely for you:

http://advancemame.sourceforge.net/

With this you can create a bootable Mame CD that will boot directly into a games menu and allow you to select and play whatever roms you stored on the CD. It doesn't touch the HD in any way....everything loads directly from the CD. AdvanceCD is Linux based and has just been updated to the latest official version of Mame as well (v0.76).

Bah, I've been carrying a MAME CD around with me to work for a year and a half of so. Need to burn a more recent copy though - thanks for the reminder! LOL

Seriously though, that's not an entirely bad idea. :)

Yeah, whenever I get a job this is what I'll do! LOL

I've been using MAME32 to do the same thing recently.

The AMOAD (http://www.classicgaming.com/amoad/) project doesn't even require you to use a CD drive.
