Okay, my son loves N64 Elmo's Letter Adventure. I've been trying to find him a copy of Elmo's Number Journey for a while now. I go into a local BB, they have a boxed copy for $4.99. Score! I buy it, call him up, and tell him I have a surprise for him when I get home. I show it to him, he's all excited. I open the box and what's inside? Elmo's Letter Adventure. They put the wrong freakin' game in the box. He was so disappointed.

Anyone have a loose copy of Elmo's Number Journey they'd trade to my 4 year old son for his duplicate Elmo's Letter Adventure?

Okay, we'll try some reading comprehension here.

He wanted Elmo's Number Adventure, he found a box labeled as such. He opened it upon returning to his domicile to the great adulation of his crotch dropping only to find that he and his sprog had been swindled, horn swoggled even. The ole bait and switcheroo. As within, was a bogus cart.

I expect Blockbuster is to blame as they were selling their prerented copy misfiled.

You know Chad, there's a good chance that Blockbuster has the OTHER Elmo game still in the store with the wrong CD in that one as well (I guess they'd be pretty similar looking and easy to "switch"). Can you go back with your game and have them check it out?

It seems like a simple mistake, really.

I thought of that. The problem is that when I was there I didn't see any Elmo's Letter Adventure available... I mean, for $5, I wouldn't have cared in the least if not for the disappointment of my son. I HATE that. If no one comes forth in the next day or so with a trade I'll just snag a loose copy off of ebay, I think.

Yeah, I pissed off a ex-girlfriend once by telling her that I had bought her a new copy of FF8 and then when the game was opened only to find that one of the CD's was actually 7.

After that, I always open EVERYTHING that was bought used to make sure that it's really what I think it is before I break any hearts. :(

Tough luck, Chad. Give Amazon a look also. I get a lot of great deals on used stuff there.

You could also return to said blockbuster and get yer 5$ back. Preferably with a nasty poke in the eye for whoever boxed it.

That doesn't fix the disappointment my son faced because of a BB idiot. Oh well, worse things will happen.

Well you could get yer 5$ back and your son's lesson in the harsh reality that people who work minimum wage jobs are by and large unmotivated or just stupid, is free!
