I got tired of playing Tempest X3 with the trackball. Full details, plus a lot of
new projects (comments welcome) at:

That's great man. I always envy you guys who can make this stuff. I just don't have the mechanical knack for that stuff.

Very, very, very cool. 8-) Your description makes it sound like it wasn't too terribly hard to do, either. I, too have longed for a rotary PSX controller. And I actually have an extra Nyko trackball lying around.

But then, maybe I can find a couple of 100 lb. blocks of cheese lying around here somewhere...

John, have you tried this with Pong or Tempest on Atari Anniversary Edition?

You know, I forgot about that one. Kinda blanked it out from Day 1 since I
already had the DC version. Should work if the games have mouse support,
unless they use the other mouse axis (X vs Y) then you'd need a switch.
And thanks for the kind words everyone. It wasn't a really hard project but
long since every night had to glue or expoxy one piece in and wait until till the next day when it was dry.

Very nice controller. I wonder if it would work with Arkanoid PSX import?

You would need one of these and then the other stuff you mentioned right ?

hmm, I'm pretty sure I've seen controller adapters that let you use a playstation controller on older systems like the NES, SNES, etc.... might be worth looking into for that ;)

Of course, the ultimate use for these things will be 4-player Warlords on Atari Anniversary.
