500 games? I bet he did one of those scams where he adds up all teh different versions on one cart, such as 'Space Invaders' which has 112 games on the cart.

Yeah, I took the chance.
He answered my questions and said that there were 500 individual physical carts. He also allowed me to pay via Paypal which offers at least some protection.
We'll see what happens.
