Hi all,

I am not sure if this has been discussed before, but if it has, I apologize.

I am a big fan of shoot 'em ups, especially for the TG16, PC Engine, Genesis, Saturn and Dreamcast. Those systems I am very familiar with. However, I am also always looking for shooters on the NES, SNES, Playstation and SMS. Are there any resources such as a shooter database or archive somewhere?

I've tried the Starbase 299 Shooter Database at htp://www.starbase299.com/

and Shooters! at http://www.iespana.es/shooters/principal.htm

but neither of them are complete. Any help is greatly appreciated.

That's the page you're looking for on the shmups site. And www.classicgaming.com/shmups is THE best shmups site on the web, bar none.

Since the big guy of Shmups sites, www.classicgaming.com/shmups (which is "shmups mk2", he is continuing his work at www.shmups.com) has already been mentioned, I thought I'd throw in Destroy All Monsters, www.users.globalnet.co.uk/~bevhome/damhome.htm . . . a fun website with some good screenshots. It's main focus is on video game boss characters, but there's reviews and shooter info there, too, including some SNES and PlayStation games.
