A tight money situation this month may force me to sell the one game in my collection that is really worth anything -- Suikoden II. I'm REALLY hoping I don't have to (see how my current stuff on EBay sells) but if push comes to shove it's not as important as not paying a bill.

Only I did'nt know that my copy of the game somehow developed a crack on the front case during one of my moves. :( Everything else is in perfect shape, but I'm sure that's going to lower the value.

I also have the Prima strategy guide for the game -- which also seems to go for a nice ammount. It has some minor wear and tear on the corners but otherwise is in great shape.

The major question I have is how should I go about selling this stuff if I decide the time has come? Would I get the best value on EBay, or Amazon, or some other way? Should I list the guide with the game or sell them apart?

If it isn't sealed just replace the front cover. Just grab one off any cd case.

I would wait until it gets higher but if decide not to, sell the game and the guide together on ebay.

You will get more for them seperate.
Suikoden II goes for $80-$100 depending on condition.
Suikoden II Guide goes for $30-$50 depending on condition.

So you will get about $110-$160 seperate.
Together They go for around $100
Trust me you will get more seperate.

PS. I've sold 3 in the last month. $89.99 each. :D

sell them seperate and definately put a new case on that disk.

Also put a buy it now on the auction and it will sell asap.

*Brag* I luckily have a new sealed copy of this game that I plan on holding onto for a long time.

Definitely sell them seperate, because if you sell them together most people will just see the guide as a bonus. Also go with ebay since more people flow through that site, which will mean more bidder = more money for you.
You will probably get around what jonjandran said, maybe a little more if you get lucky.

Yea the reason I said seperate is that if someone sees Suikoden II w/guide for $150.00 they just won't buy it.
They'll wait to see if they can get a better deal seperate.
Oh and I totally agree with the BIN . It'll sell every time. Don't take a chance with an auction. Some have ended low.

I had a sealed copy I was able to trade off for 4 brand new selaed Xbox games. Yeah, yeah, the Xbox games won't be valuable in the future, I know, but I'm not an RPG guy and I don't care much for keeping it forever.
