I have a friend's husband who is selling off his game collection. I haven't seen it personally yet since he's about 100 miles away but I was curious what everyone thought this stuff was worth. This isn't all of it, but this is what was listed. Also, keep in mind that I have a good portion of these items, and I'd like to sell whatever I have extras on to recoup the money that I'm putting out:

How much would you be putting out?

i dont know... i would only pay like $300 for all that stuff.. you never know what is screwed up, etc. the nintendo power magazines are cool though.
look all the values up in the dp guide, and then divide that in half... thats as high as i would go if i were you, unless the stuff is especially clean.

Tell me where they live and I will buy it. I'm in Arkansas too. I mean if you go to look at it and don't like it just don't buy it. Sounds like a good haul if the price is right. Also not knowing what games and condition everything is in makes it hard to make a estimate.

Heh... how about.. no? LOL The guy is in Missouri so depending on where you're at, you'll be driving a bit.

Someone else hit the price on the head - he was asking $300. I was thinking of offering 200-250, but I'll have to see it before I commit to anything. For all I know, I'll have 4 boxed SMS systems with 3D glasses :eek 2:

offer him 150.... only go to 300 if you have to- chances are that he'll sell for less.
youre still getting a steal for 300, but if you can get it cheaper- DO IT
good luck

If it is 4 segascope boxed systems, ill take one off of your hands. :)

The telstar unit is pretty rare on its own. Even if you cant get below $300 i would still take it, because you could easily double it on ebay if you wanted to.
Heavy sixers on ebay seem to be going pretty high now. Just a fact to keep in mind.

I was definetly dreaming. He's claiming the 4 boxed SMS's are new in plastic, only opened to see the contents. None are the Sega Scopes! :( He gave me a list of the games, and they are quite weak. Except for a couple of rares, the rests are duplicates of commons - ie, 8 combats, 5 space invaders, etc. I'm going to make the 120 mile trek up there some time this week and check it out.

Well hey if you are near the springfield area. Let me know and I may want to take some of the extras off your hands.

If you buy it, I might be willing to take som Saturn games off your hands. My Saturn "collection" is pathetic.

Considering the amount of other Commodore stuff in that package, this, evidently, is the new Commodore PET.

if you want to dig through things....it's not bad. i would offer less considering you'll be digging through it all for a while, not very organized as i'm sure everybody else can see. i would offer 150 or 200 and pay nothing over 225, because even though you may be able to turn some around for more money.....you have to calculate time. you can find stuff for free and make money on it if you keep your eyes pealed so don't shell too much.......IMO

That looks like my bedroom.. minus the Kitty.. :P
(Cute cat)

Serious...I have that same type of stuff in my bedroom..in boxes like that too...(sort of spooky)

I could take pictrures and you would think that stuff came from my house.

But I think in the long run,I may have paid more than $300.00..It's all Flea market finds, that I got throughout the years.
So I think you got a good deal..

If your happy, that's all that matters.

I ended up paying 250. There's more than you see there -

Other stuff that wasn't listed originally:

2 Commodore Monitors
2 1541 drives
1 Genesis 3
3 Wico 2600 Joysticks - 2 new
Lots of Atari rebuild parts from MCM
1 Original Mattel Basketball game (not the remake)
quite a few Saturn/NES/Atari/TI Games
The best looking heavy 6-er I've seen. I found out that the guy spent a lot of time cleaning up the items when they made it home.
Various lightguns, more controllers than I know what to do with, and lots of power supplies I could really, really use (Atari 7800, Colecovision)

Lots of manuals and such. I'm sure they'll be more things found.

As for the "unorganized mess", my wife is untangling those cords, etc :)

Now this is a beautiful sight...

We're spending our time finding power supplies, controllers, etc for each unit. It's starting to become a bit more organized. What's the power voltage for a Jaguar and is there any equivalent power supplies?
