View Full Version : help! I just bought a huge lot off eBay
My wife is going to kill me. Someone please look at this and tell me I didn't just blow $1000. I'm planning on reselling most of it. I figure it should at least pay for itself, letting me keep some of the cooler stuff.

Eeek. I dunno. $500 and you may have pulled enough of a profit to keep from getting killed. But you may only be able to break even if you part it out at $1,000. Didn't see anything there real "bucks-worthy."

there is no snes console. lots of cool stuff though.
there seems to be more then what you paid. If shipping isn't outragious then you might break even.
The Side by side sega cd doesn't have the locking plate or the system 1 extender :(

I may be interested in some of the NES games. Please e-mail me or post what games you have and what prices you are looking for.
Thanks,

I think if there are 500 games plus over 30 systems then you got a pretty good deal. That is only $2 per game not counting the hardware. I did not even look at the games list. I don't know if you will make a killing reselling things, butyou should do OK.
I realise there's nothing noteworthy here, but I used to spend a long time searching for big lots of games and I always used this rule of thumb: $10 x # systems + $1 x # games = max bid (I never bought any before because they always went way over that)
In this case, that's $10 x 34 + $1 x 491 = $831 (in fact, that's probably how he came up with the BIN!)
The other thing that I think makes this worthwhile is that there are a lot of accessories which aren't figured into that total.
I just hope shipping isn't too much (I do think his estimate might be low).
@ARCZero: I'll keep you in mind, but it might be a while after we negotiate payment, the stuff gets packed up and mailed to me, then I sort through it all and decide what works, what to sell and for how much. : )

if you sold it all item at a time you would make money, tell your wife that. and look serious dangit!
@Raedon: There is a SNES. See the update at the bottom:
"I am just found a Super Nintendo System With all hook ups, 2 controllers and 6 games (donkey kong country 1 boxed, Cannondale cup boxed, Stunt Race FX boxed, NBA Jam loose, Mario World Loose, Mario All Stars loose) These will be included if the reserve is met! Reserve is far below the Buy It Now, so dont get discouraged! I am also throwing in a complete, probably brand new, boxed Radio Shack TRS-80 Computer with manuals!!"
