I mean, u finding a game just laying on the ground or table some where. Tell your story.

I remember sitting in my friends basement on a Saturday morning, after a sleep over. His brothers, who just came in from doing their paper route, said they found a game in the snow(This was Winter), and it looked like it would fit the Genesis. The cart was blank and shaped a bit odd. We popped it in, and the normal copyright screen popped up that always pop's up. Then a screen came up that said the game WASN'T copyrighted by SEGA.

When we saw that, we knew finding the game was special.

The game was Joshua and the Battle of Jericho!!!!!!! My friend gave it to me awhile ago.

Tell your story.

I found the board for a gameboy game (no case) once in a grocery store parking lot about 9 years ago...recognized it instantly...I think it's still in my wallet. It was very skuffed up and I think the main componets like the chip were broken off and stuff.

Also, my bro found a pokemon blue in a hotel room once....or was it somewhere outside the hotel? Hmmm...

Oh Yeah, found 1 or 2 DC (or was it saturn?) games...hockey or some shit outside a dumpster sitting on a wooden board. Scuffed up and all, but I think I can resurface them.

My copy of game boy Dr. Franken was found by a parking lot, still boxed.

I also got an SMS and some 5200 games that were out to the road, as well as a c64. all worked.

I recently found a copy of Super Mario Bros. Advance (the SMB2 one), but it was apparently damaged beyond repair. Even with cleaning, still wouldn't play.

I know someone who found a 2600 with a Chase the Chuckwagon cart in someone's trash.

Unfortunately, I have no such luck.

A guy came into my comic book store a few years ago trying to sell some video games...we didn't buy games, so he threw them in the middle of the street.

At the next red light...I ran out to pick up what he'd tossed out.

Nothing good sadly, A Bug's Life, Madden 98, VR Baseball 97...all of them worked...managed to make $10 out of them though...when I decided to start selling used video games at work the next day ;)

once walking home from school I saw a soggy official nintendo 64 controler box in a skip, I thought it was just an empty box so I knocking it out the skip and kicked it. To my suprize a controler flew out the box still in the plastic and slid accross the floor.

The kick gave it a few scratches but it still works to this day, one of my two offical n64 bads LOL

When I was about 12, (circa 1981) I found about 5 Intellivision game boxes in a derelict railway car... someone must have stolen them and only wanted to carry the cartridges around.

I found a dusty & very dirty yet fully operational woodgrain Atari 2600 with sticks, paddles, and about 15 common games in a cardboard box on the side of the road once. I think the people were throwing it away but did not put in in the big plastic container so the trash guys didn't pick it up.

My brother found a bunch of GameBoy Advance games in a ditch once. It turns out they were rentals from a local rental store, thinking they may have fallen out of a truck or something by accident, he returned them to the store. It turns out the store was broken into one night after hours and the robbers couldn't find any money, so they stole games and then dumped the Gameboy Advance ones. :eek 2:

As far as dumpster diving, I've found several Atari 2600's, a PSX complete except for missing a controller (only works when at an angle), and lots of VCRs(most just needing a head cleaner ran through them). I haven't found any video game stuff just laying on the ground, but have found $50 bills and odd electronics (like one of those voice distorters) laying in the grass.
