Since we haven't had one since the summer, I kinda want to organize another meet for Michigan DP'ers. Once again, the prime target is Pinball Pete's in Ann Arbor.

Either day is cool with me. Not a choice, but, I will attend.

It would be absolutely frigid in that parking lot, thats all I gotta say.
I'd still like to see about renting out a room in the southgate civic center for a swap meet, but, I'm lazy, and so is my connection inside.

Are folks from Ohio allowed to attend? I'd like to come, maybe I could even convince Bargora to go with me.

Sure the more the merrier. I'm just gonna feel bad if it turns out to be a really small meeting and people came from another state....
Uber--I didn't even think about the temp, doh! Anyhow, I felt like this would serve as a "preliminary", before we went and got space at the Civic center.

I'll be there, unless the weather/roads are really crappy.
I have lots of games I want to trade.

Well, biz keeps saying he'd be able to get two rooms at the civic center for the night rather inexpensively, since he works there, but I want to see this before I make any plans around it.
I'm pretty sure the 20th wouldn't be too bad...since most people who aren't in high school should have their classes finished by then. The only problem is the proximity to the holidays. That's fixed with January, but by then, most school semesters have started back up.
Given a choice though I say lets hit up the December date. I can't think of things much better then spending some holiday time out in Ann Arbor complaining to anyone who'll listen there how much I hate their city :P

If you are looking for a different location indoors, I am located in Warren and have access to a hall that is run by a social club that I am a member of. It's fairly decent in size, has a large projection screen TV, bar, pool table, darts etc. I can look into the cost, but I am sure it is fairly cheap.

Has there been a final decision on date and location?

Nope, and if people don't start posting & voting (seriously, please don't mess around) I'm not going to go through the trouble of organizing it. :o

Provided that the weather is suitable, I could probably attend the January date. A swap sounds great too.

I can make the December date but not the January one.

I guess the Dec. date would be better for me,but I am not even sure if I can go.

The January date is better for me, but I'm not 100% sure that I'd be able to make it out. Besides, I really don't have that much to trade right now.

Sounds like it could be a lot of fun.
Out of the two, the January date would be better. The Christmas visiting season starts the weekend of Dec. 20th for me so it would be impossible to get away.

Well....but the *slightly* more popular vote of *5*...the date seems to be January...
I'll keep people posted here.

I'm really close to the place, so going is not a problem. I just know I cant go on the 20th, I have a family x-mas deal that I have to go to, but depending on what time this is, and what my work schedual ends up being, I might be able to go. I think it should be at Petes, mainly because its the only place that I can really attend out of the ones listed. I dont have much to trade, but I can buy some stuff, right =D. Keep us posted.

Ok, well after a bit of debating and general meloncholy, I've decided to go ahead and call for a get together. Not sure if I feel like getting the small swap thing going on inside Pinball Pete's (if anyone else would like to take care of getting this ready go ahead) I'll bring all my trade stuff and keep it in my car behind p.p. check the trade list on my site to see what I'll be bringing.
Hope to see plenty of people there (hopefully more than before :) )
So, January 10th! Be There at like 4ish until whenever

I'll be there for a short while before work. It's been ages since I've been to pinball petes, and it'll give me an excuse to get some panchero's!

I'll try to go, but when I posted about this before, I figured it would have been later then 4, because when I go its like 8-12. I'll see what I can do in terms of getting a ride. Maybe there, maybe not.

Don't worry about it. Apparently not too many people noticed that this events forum was here and so people said they didn't know about it. There was so little interest that I figured it was a bust and so I'm not even going to show up. Sorry, i just don't feel like driving an hour and a half round trip to wait around for 6 hours for people that "might" show up. I'd like to have had confirmation that lots of people would be going. We started at 2 last time and I think I ended up leaving at 10. But that's when there were about a dozen or so people there.
so it's
Cancelled
from my side.

That seems all to common in the Events section.
If you post in VG Forum, and then move it, then if someone else posts it bumps in the VG forum too correct?
Achika
01-12-2004, 06:12 PM
That's correct.
I was trying to use this forum, since that's what it's here for instead of posting something in another forum where perhaps it doesn't fit as well. I only posted it in the VG forum after I wasn't getting answers from this thread.
I guess I see where DP was coming from when he wanted to slim down the boards and trim the fat so to speak with forums that don't get much traffic.

D'oh. Count me as one of them. I'll be checking here more often, now.
