although I've messed around with S Athena, Chunli, Cammy(R2), I'm not as good with Chun as I am with the champion sumo.

Isn't Eagle supposed to be gay?

I read on a couple of sites, a while ago, that Capcom Japan intended for him to be a homosexual character, but changed it for the US audiences. Not sure how true it is...

Gay? That's a new one. What I do know is that he was intended to be a tribute to Freddy Mercury. Not in the original SF when Queen was still around, but he was made to be like Freddy in CvS2. He even says "The show must go on," just like good ol' Freddy. I really need to get this game for the PS2... I could imagine myself doing so much damage with Yamazaki and Cammy. :evil:

Capcom Japan confirmed a while back that both eagle and zangief are gay. Eagle's japanese win quotes in cvs2 reflect that, when he tries to pick up on several guys.

My jaw is wide open as I type this. Eagle isn't one of the better known characters from the SF chronology, so I guess it's not that shocking to hear that.

I heard that too, but hey, even Jack on Will and Grace had a son... and if that guy were any more flaming, he'd have burned into a pile of ash by now.
You know, I can almost see Zangief being gay. After all, he likes to wrestle bears... perhaps by "bears", Capcom meant "hairy, muscular gay men."

It's true. Was in one of Capcom's books about the characters of street fighter, in Japan. he's not flaming, but lets face it-the stereotype of the big gay wrestler was gonna happen in a game full of them (yoga-mastered indian, black boxer, blonde lazy american, blonde military american...)

Zangief being gay doesn't surprise me at all, I always thought he was a little... off. We really liked to hug EVERYBODY, so manybe he wasn't GAY, per se...

Anyway, back on topic, I would use two teams (don't remember which groove, always changed it really). King, Athena and Nakaruru, or sometimes Dan (yup, I picked Dan), Ryu and Athena. It's weird, whenever I do't use one of my favorite fighting females I always get my ass handed to them... in the first round... jealousy, perhaps? 8-)

Dan has some stuff going for him in cvs2 (custom combos, level 3 uppercut super), so he's not entirely worthless. Alot better then Kyosuke. I actually saw a good Kyosuke at the arcade the other day...you have to rely so heavily on his fireball traps though, because there is very little else he can do other then the S groove infinity.

My team is definitely C groove (sometimes N groove) Blanka, Akuma, and Rock. I sometimes switch rock for terry.

Shoryuken is a good place to go for strategy, although its definitely not the friendliest place on the web for someone who's just into it casually.
