It's got to be a hardware hack. It wouldn't be that hard to hack the pcb into the machine with a switch... but the question isn't how, the question is why?

Answer: to see if someone would pay 350 dollars for the BIN.

That is actually pretty cool, because you get to play a great/really rare game, but not cool enough for $350.

I'd say that's worth an extra $20 on top of the value of the system (which is about $50 with the TurboBooster...so maybe worth $70 total. What a bastard. And he won't include the box? BOOOOOOOOO!

Not if he hasn't damaged the Magical Chase card. That game is probably worth close to $100 by itself. Easily the hardest US HU card to get.

I really doubt he used a real card, more likely he wired up an Eprom in there.

That is definitely possible, though if he were going to do that, why only one game?

Cuz when you start with the all-in-one type stuff, eBay starts deleting auctions.

I seriously doubt he would to go all of that trouble specifically to ebay the item...

I don't want to encourage anyone, but it's really not that much trouble.
