I hate to promote this debate any longer about the system really existing or not. But GamesAreFun (http://www.gamesarefun.com/news.php?newsid=301) has actually posted some pics of the system in use.

Oh, and whoever owns that tv and kid... nice freakin' job securing the tv. That kid could pull that tv down onto herself with ease.

Sad, sad, SAD. This just illustrates the fact the guy is working 'out of his garage' so to speak, unless this is some joker beta testing. If it is the latter, consider still how bad it is that the first 'real' pictures has to come from some schlub's home than in the form of a professional press release.

I don't think beta testers have been decided yet. In all the emails they are sending out, they kept saying they will tell those who are getting to do it on Nov. 15.


What irks me is last week I got like 6 emails telling me to go resubmit my beta application, because the email may have not been working properly. This is after I got a confirmation that it was recieved months earlier. When I went to try to resubmit, the website was broken. :o

That and I keep getting mail from them to someone else bounced back to me? weird. If they can't get their email to fucntion properly, I'm quickly losing faith in anything of theirs.

That's a virus, and it doesn't necessarily mean anything about them. Email can be sent out with anything as the reply-to and anything as the sender if it's not done through a gui client. That would mean that someone, somewhere, likely has a virus (if it's not in fact you) that is using your email address as the reply-to and Phantom's domain as the sender. It does happen.

Ditto, I had that happen twice last month. Haven't had it before or since, either. Not to Phantom.net mind you but some private emails :/
