Thinking of buying one, rather then dealing with carts or getting a switch installed.

What's an average price for an Import Saturn (Any Model... unless one is known for not lasting long) with a box? And would anyone know a good place to buy one?

I'd prefer a location in the US so I don't have to pay alot for shipping.

Thanks! :D

And if anyone has one to get rid of.... think of me :)

Well, that's a tough call...there are a LOT of models and they vary!

I'd say:

Normal Grey Saturn - $40ish
White Saturn - $40ish (the least well made I'm told)
Hi-Saturn - $60-80
Cool Saturn (aka Skeleton...clear) $125-200 depending on the seller
Derby Saturn (same as cool but slightly blue) $125-200

Usually the grey or white is the best bet pricewise, though I've heard a BIT of stuff against the white, nothing concrete however. I have a "Cool" Saturn myself. Nice system! No spares though!

What have you heard? That they crap out quicker?

Thanks for the help, know of any US sites that sell the systems?

Owning a White Saturn since 1998, I can safely say that it has been very good to me the past 5 years with (hopefully) many more to come...

I've had a white for 3-4 years now, and it's given me no problems.

I think the Action Replay cart isn't as scary as it sounds, you just pay $20-25 for one, put it into your Saturn and play imports. Been playing imports all year on my Saturn.

Yeah, it's a lot easier to have a replay cart. I have a ST Key which plays most stuff...everything except a few of the 4MB RAM games. And the PAR (Pro Action Replay) can play those too, and be used as a memory card :) May as well just buy that....cheaper than even a white Saturn, which are the least expensive ones.

Now will these mess up the cart slot of the Saturn? I've had problems with that using a gameshark before.

That's what I was trying to avoid :(

I'm using a Pro Action Replay and haven't had any problems with the cart slot, however to be honest I've never used the cart slot for anything else
