I was just checking out some eBay auctions and noticed that Bonk 3 (Hucard) is going for like $68 in one auction.

I had no idea that this game was that valuable. Is it really rare?

If so, that's excellent as I have it (got it when it came out).

n e 1 know?

Yep, sure is rare, epscially the Super CD version as well. Too bad, I don't even have the game :( but maybe someday I'll find it :D .

Yep. Definitely rare, and as hamburglar said, the CD version is even more expensive ;) And if you have the box and tray....more $! :D

I bought that damn game twice. Loose first, then complete. Got it at a bargain for the complete version.

Is it fun as a game?

It's the only Bonk game with 2 player action. So that's pretty fun. But Bonk's Revenge is much better.

As I post this, this topic's probably going to eBay insanity:

Whew. :eek 2:

Bonk is pretty good, but I'm more partial to his cousin, Air Zonk. What a shmup. :D

The CD has gone for well over $300 this past year on ebay. I bought mine for $150 over the summer before prices went too far beyond reach. A bunch of listing were closed because they recieved offers they couldn't refuse. The HUcard has been going for about $80-100.

Yeah, it's insufferably high for a game that ultimately, isn't all that stunning IMO.

Its one of those odd games where the CD version is worse than the HuCard version as well. In the regular game, Bonk is missing animation frames on the CD version.. there is probably other stuff missing too, but I just usually play the HuCard.

I bought the HuCard new back in 1994/5 from Radio Shack, and it didn't have an English manual - just a black and white French language version. They didn't have any more copies so I couldn't exchange it either.. so here I am years later and still no manual...

I bought the CD from an RGVC auction circa 1996 for $20. :)

I bought the cd version for about $15.00 a year ago. Makes me think maybe I should sell it.

I think i'm gonna sell it then. I played that game to DEATH back when it came out with 2 player and all, I recently played it again and It just doesnt do it for me. So that one will probably go on eBay soon once I get the ambition. There is no way that I would Part with Shockman, Zonk, Neutopia 2 or Splatterhouse. Those are keepers for life!

Thanks for the info guys! I'm glad that I have a sought after game...

Now is the time to sell. It's xmas season on ebay. Complete card copies were going from $70-90, and I just saw a loose card break $90.

For 300$ that game better come with a free Russian bride or cure some sort of disease beause thats an outrageous amount to pay for an avg platform game...but then again, its all about the rarity @_@

Id rather buy 20 fun tg16 games thats ill actually play

I know the game is listed as rare, but it seems like I've been seeing more and more of these sell on Ebay frequently. In fact more than other HTF games for the TG16 like Ghost Manor, Shockman or Neutopia 2. Sometimes I wonder if the game just creates more hype than it is actually rare.
