JoyStik is one of the most sought-after magazines of that first wave of gaming mags but WOW... $100.

And check out the other ones. Some of them went for over $55 and the rest for $26. I'm gonna be rich some day :)

I'd like to have them, but those prices are just ridiculous. Are these really that rare?

I think that's a fluke. Heck I just bought a minty copy of that particular mag for about 7 bucks not more than 6 months ago. But that was a bulk buy of about 5 of them.

Why is that mag so expensive? Do you think i should hold on my first issues of EGM? I wonder if they will go for prices like that in the near future! 8-)

Good question. I always wonder if there's another "undercurrent" of game collectors out there who think they know better. I can say that this is the most rare of the JoyStik series, though it shouldn't be - it's smack in the middle of two other regular issues. Still, I haven't seen this one before and I'm sure it's quite rare. But... it's a "quite rare" MAGAZINE. Sorry, but $100?
It's moments like these that I cash out of certain things. Like when I found out that Bonk 3 CD was selling for $500. Bam. Went right to my collection, pulled it out, eBayed it. That's where your collecting earns you something that you can use for buying MORE games for future enjoyment :)

Thats the greatest thing about collecting. IF you buy the right games, those will always raise and raise its price... :)

I guess.. if you're looking to sell. Personally I just go the old "own one copy of a game" route. It gets to be too much of a hassle with too many :P *sigh*
Hmmmm... Come to think of it.. I don't think I've ever sold anything in my life! :hmm:
