Should I get a new consol or not?

So right now, Im about 3 months into my retro gaming hobby, and to be honest, I enjoy looking for games almost as much as playing them LOL

Right now, I have an NES, Atari 2600, SNES (not collecting for that one yet) and, my babies, two TG16's.

I was thinking its not much of a collection with only 3 consols, but if I did get another consol (Vectrex, Neo Geo or Dreamcast) I would have less to spend on the others.

The NES I only collect the games I liked as a kid, the TG16 I want everything and everything, and the 2600 i want the multiplayer games. What is your opinion?

If you've got the money, it's up to you. I'd caution against buying stuff just for the heck of it, though. I always try to buy games I'll know I like.

Whether you like it or not is not the issue.

If its a great deal, buy it! You can always use it as trade bait for something you want.

I think I'm in the same boat though. While I have 12 consoles, I snatch up almost everything. I simply enjoy the hunt. I rarely find something I am actually looking for LOL

Have you ever owned a Vectrex? My personal opinion is that they aren't very fun. If you don't have any nostalgic tie to them, I don't think you'll enjoy one now. I'd say go with the Dreamcast or Neo Geo, games are still easy to find for them and you will probably enjoy them much more as a gamer.

I would go with a vectrex. I love mine and there easy to play. Multiplayer sucks REALLY bad though. I believe you like multiplayer games (?) so I would go with a dreamcast.
