Went to my local Gamestop. I always wondered what they did with GBA boxes and manuals when people traded in their used copies. I assumed they just threw them out, and I am sure most places do. However this one had saved a good deal of manuals, maps as well some plastic cases for GB and GBC games. They were giving them away for free. So I scored the following
GBA manuals
Super Mario Advance
Castlevania Circle of the Moon
Contra Advance The Alien Wars EX
MegaMan Battle Network
Medabots AX Metabee Ver.
Desert Strike Advance
Bomberman Max Blue Advance
Street Fighter Alpha 3
Super Street Fighter II Turbo Revival
Konami Arcade Advance
Star Wars: EP II: AOTC
Star Wars: Jedi Power Battles
Turok Evolution
Jurassic Park III The DNA Factor
GBC manuals
Bionic Commando Elite Force
Heroes of Might & Magic
Heroes of Might & Magic II
The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons
Dragon Warrior III with map
GB manuals
Metroid II Return of Samus
The Castlevania Adventure
The Legend of Zelda Link's Awakening
Final Fantasy Adventure with map
Final Fantasy Legend II with map
Also got about a dozen GB/GBC cases.
I was looking to pick Alien Front Online for the Dreamcast. They had a used one on display in box & jewel case with the microphone hookup for the DC controller, all new like it was never used. However they couldn't find the game CD, so they let me just take the box with the microphone.
All in all, nice little find for free.

Where's Waldo (nes - loose)

Oh yes it is. Last time I plugged it in was a "holy crap this is an ugly game" moment, but it still plays like it used to. Still don't care for all the "hmm let's wait for a chance to press Start and clear out this annoying message," that bugged me quite a bit playing through the Hoth Base section. Downloaded the PC version a while ago, it runs too fast...
Have you checked out the cheats? There's some really cool stuff you can mess with in there, especially the low gravity option...nothing like trying to see if you can end back up on the train at Ord Mantell when you jump at the very beginning ;)
I myself picked up some games this week, can't say I got a steal but here they are, $12 for all of these in excellent (essentially lightly used and rather well kept) condition.
The Adventures of Bayou Billy
Blades of Steel
Marble Madness
R.B.I. Baseball 2 (Tengen)
Tecmo Bowl (not Super Bowl)
Tetris (my second Tetris game for the NES...first was Tengen Tetris, which was also my first NES game in fact ;)
One game had the bottom left corner of the front sticker turned up (probably a long time ago) slightly, and the front label for the Tengen sticker had almost unnoticeable scuff marks, and a bit of the same for the others from routine putting carts in and out of their cases. (All came with plain, non-NES logo black sleeves, though I note that the cases seem to match the game (Konami's cases had a certain texture while other ones had different textures):

I've been to 3 different Gamestops in the past 2 days, all of which didn't have much of a selection for NES. There wasn't anything I was really looking for, so I just randomly picked up the following:
Adventures of Dino Riki - $2.99 - not really feelin' this game at all
Adventure Island 2 - $8.99 - love it
Kabuki Quantum Fighter - $1.99 - much better than I thought it would be
Spelunker - $1.99 - not completely horrible, but not my favorite
haven't tried these yet:
Hydlide - $1.49
Legacy of the Wizard - $1.99
Quattro Adventure - $2.99
Dig Dug 2 - $5.99
Donkey Kong 3 - $9.99
Ski or Die - $2.99
and the ones I can't remember the prices for b/c I left the receipt at home:
Dudes With Attitude ('cause the cartridge looked cool, haha)
Star Soldier
also for NES:
1 joystick - $0.89
2 controllers - one's an NES Max, and the other one looks like a regular controller but it's a little rounded and it has turbo buttons above the regular A & B buttons - both $2.99
I haven't tested this stuff yet b/c it all needs to be cleaned
I don't know if I got any good deals or not, but at least I got some new toys :)

Here's why I steerclear of Australian auctions (most SMS games there are manufactured by Ozi Soft)
The carts have a weird texture to them
the cart labels are non-glossy reddish-brown, and have white crosshatching instead of the normal black
the boxes are about 1/4 inch shorter than regular boxes, making it impossible to switch inserts with a better box.
Overall, they just seem crappy and cheaply manufactured to me.

Asteroids (2600), cart. only- $8.00 AUD (yes, I know it's expensive but that's just the way it is here).
Although, at least I supplemented with an excellent value find:
Virtua Fighter 3tb (DC) - complete, excellent condition $10 AUD
And sitting in the rear section of the case was a loose Sonic Adventure 2 game disc. For which I managed to make a nice US-style case for it out of a spare jewel CD case I had and some high-res cover print outs from www.cdcovers.cc
