When I bought my PS2 last year I paid a little extra for the extended warranty because I had a bad experience with my minty fresh PSX way back in '95 (Launch PSX) plus I have a great fear of the dreaded PS2 DRE's.
With my exended warranty about to expire I thought I'd check with EB to see if I could extend it another year and they said yes. Extended warranties are $20 bucks but it's tied to one serial number and is good for one exchange.
