just curious what others have stumbled upon for free

My brother came home from college with a top loading NES (and one game) and an SNES with about 20 games. Aparently his roommate left them behind (or gave them to him, dont really know exactly why). So they layed around our house for a year or 2 before I took them. The snes games I split with my sister. Alot of them I already had but the big ones I got were earthbound and super bomberman (I remember her calling me the next day like, hey those are really rare, bring them back, you just wanted them to sell..... how wrong she was).

Anyways, I never owned a NES as a kid, so I was the happiest man on earth to finally get to play alot of these games.


And for free-bee's that a flat out stole, an NES power pad. I went to some college party (some guys house that found it entertaining to egg us every single weekend for 2 years). bundled up on the window sill was a power pad. so I opened the window, chucked it out, left and collected my treasure. I dont condon stealing but felt this was an exception.

I seem to get pretty lucky in this department. I have been given (by friends or relitaves):
Turbografx-16 system and 8 games
Atari 2600 system and 30 games (all perfect condition, mint!)
2 NES systems and numberous games
soon to come: Intelivision with games

I hope they keep coming. Seems like as sson as people find out that I am a video game nut, they feel ompled to give me stuff. I hope it continues...

My brother gave me an SMS like 2 weeks ago to replace the one I broke last year (Along with a perfect copy of Double Dragon Box/Manual/Poster/Cart). And just today a friend of mine in Brazil was helping me to win some Brazilian Auctions and she bought me a copy of Street Fighter II'.

I was given a Free Pinball Machine a few days ago,but I put it in storage..
I have no clue how it works or if it needs anything..

I friend in Cali sent me a big box of various video game stuff he had lying around..(He was cleaning house)

Boxed Odyssey games,boxed Mega Drive games,Commodore/Atari 2600/XE,Int,Gen,VB..
A Intellivision voice module,game stickers and the topper of it all,a top Loader NES....

A few weeks ago a friend of my fathers brought over(free) a SMS with 10 or so boxed games all hookups etc....in a paper bag..
He was going to toss it out..

I just got a bunch of free AES inserts sent to me in the mail from a friend.

My wife's Boss gave me her NES with a NES storage unit that had like 20 game in it or so.

My two Steel Battalion units I got for free..
My Uncle gave them to me after I made him $1000.00 profit on a bulk order of Yu Gi Oh cards.

My Second Platinum GBA/Donkey Kong Bobble /Target set I got for free..(long story)

My father gave me a T2 Thrustmaster Steering wheel set-up yesterday.(free)

I get a lot of things free for helping people,or selling stuff for them on Ebay..
Vendors at the flea market are always throwing me free games/systems since I buy so much.

When I helped my sister move out of her apartment, she let me take all of her older consoles. So I got:

PS-X w/ 2 controllers, all hook-ups (an RF connector), 2 memory cards
About 10 or so games, including Monsters Inc, THPS 2 GH version, Monopoly, 102 Dalmations, and San Francisco RUSH
A Genny 2 with all hook-ups, 2 controllers
About 10-15 games, including Sonic Collection (I was happy), Sonic 3, and Quackshot! Featuring Daffy Duck (or something named something like that)

Got all the above for basically reseating a chip on a Spy Hunter sound board. Made the owner VERY happy to have his all time favorite game 100% finally!

Also, a buddy of mine at work gave me a Darth Vader 2600 with 4 or 5 joysticks, 2 sets of paddles, and about 40 games with manuals. The console has a few minor problems, but nothing I can't fix.

i picked up the snes ver of zombies ate my neighbors earlier this year and i kinda inhereted loads of stuff from my uncle once he died like 6 years ago but i recently dug out all the stuff once i started collecting, this is what i found:

-psx boxed w/ 3 games
-psx official carrying case and cd binder
-sega saturn boxed w/ 12 games (notably the NiGHTs into dreams christmas sampler complete)
-sega nomad
-genesis I
-genesis II Complete
-2 sega cds (1 complete)
-2 genesis games

Over the past few years I've been given: a Master System with a few games, a non-working CD32, a bare Megadrive 2, 3 boxed US SNES games (Metroid, Stunt Race FX & SSFII !), a boxed Saturn with 4 games and a memory card, 2 Gamegears and a bunch of games, an original Gameboy, an Atari ST and a couple of 2600 carts. :D There's probably more I've forgotten aswell.

I've balanced the karma a little by giving a way a couple of SNES, NES and Megadrive set-ups. ;)
